Alvarez Work Report
August, 2012
We recognize all your efforts for supporting us.
Thank you very much for praying for us.
Thank you for all the spiritual, material, and emotional
help that you give us. You have made possible
the development of the mission in Santiago,
Dominican Republic. May God continue blessing the
North Jackson Church of Christ.

The downtown work
My wife continues collaborating in the Sunday Bible
school and coordinating the women’s ministry.
Couples’ seminars
We are developing a strong family ministry:
couples,
children, teens, and youth. We believe that if we have strong
families, we will have a strong congregation.
Small Group Studies in Homes
Every Monday we hold home group
studies in different members of the
downtown church of Christ homes.
Benevolence Ministry
Our sister Juberkis, women’s ministry coodinator of benevolence, collected
shoes and clothing to give to church members. Also, all members of the
Church are exchanging clothes we are not using, thus helping each other and
the most needy members and non-members.
Ladies Ministry
The ladies continue their activities
every Thursday where they grow
through prayers, studies, and
visitation.
Youth ministry
Our work with the teens and other young people in activities on
Saturday and Sunday is exciting because they want to work in the
church. The group is growing.

Worship services in La Otra Banda
We have been conducting worship services on Sundays.
The neighborhood has been listening to the invitation of
the word of God. We trust in God that in the future
those neighbors will obey Gospel.
Sunday Bible School in the Otra Banda
We have been sharing the Word of God every
Sunday with a lot kids who live around our meeting place.
Presenting certificates of baptism to new
members of the Church in La Otra Banda
We invited Sérgida and Luz’s family and friends to a special
celebration for the presenting of their baptismal certificates.
Words of appreciation
Finally, we want to manifest to you our most
profound appreciation for all the support we have
been receiving from each one of you.
We know that your prayers, the time you
dedicate to us each time you visit us, the money
you send us every 3 months, all are
demonstrations that we are working together in
the Lord’s work.
Sincerely,
The Alvarez family
