MPC’s Academy Award winning VFX Supervisor, Guillaume
Rocheron began his career in 2000 at BUF Compagnie in
Paris, France where he joined as a 3D Generalist and worked
on Panic Room, Alexander, Batman Begins and The Matrix
Reloaded.
Guillaume moved to London in 2005, joining MPC as a Senior Technical Director in the
closing stages of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. He then moved on to projects including
X-Men: Last Stand, Sunshine and Elizabeth, 10,000 B.C and Harry Potter and the Half Blood
Prince as Lead and CG Supervisor.
In 2010 Guillaume accepted the role of VFX Supervisor on Percy Jackson & the Olympians:
The Lightning Thief. Over the next 5 years, Guillaume led MPC’s teams on Sucker Punch
creating the Samurai attack sequence, building photoreal CG vehicles and explosive action
scenes for Fast Five, as well as giving Superman his powers in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel.
Guillaume received an Academy Award, BAFTA and VES awards for MPC’s work on the
dramatic storm sequences in Ang Lee’s critically acclaimed Life of Pi.
More recently Guillaume worked as Production VFX Supervisor on The Secret Life of
Walter Mitty and led MPC’s global teams to deliver Gareth Edward’s vision of the ‘King
of the Monsters’ Godzilla and worked with director Zack Snyder once again on Batman v
Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Guillaume most recently completed work as Production Visual Effects Supervisor on Rupert
Sanders’ live-action adaptation of the popular Manga series, Ghost in the Shell and is
currently working on the Godzilla sequel, Godzilla: King of the Monsters as the Production
Visual Effects Supervisor.
