empires caused smaller countries to develop a feeling of discontent and nationalism. This lead to
the Serbian nationalist assassinating the Archduke.
Militarism, because they (The alliances) had built up their militaries they were ready for a larger
scale war. More likely to settle issues with force than with politics.
Students do their own research on specific countries. They can ask the teacher for guidance to
proper sites.
