Founded in 1966, SCS has grown from a small preschool to a leading school with a current enrollment of 530 students. The three-building campus is home to the Madeline Godfrey Perdue gymnasium, two fully equipped science labs, a fitness center, an upper school media center and library, a newly renovated lower school library, two technology labs and athletic fields for soccer, baseball and softball. With 50 faculty and 10 instructional assistants, the average class size is 19. The faculty tenure average is 11 years. Located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Salisbury is the county seat of Wicomico County, population near 99,000. Subjects are taught from a Christian perspective and Bible classes are part of the curriculum for all grades. Students participate in Spiritual Emphasis Days and a weekly chapel service with their age group; for upper school, this includes student-led worship. The senior class goes on a one-week international mission trip each year.
