Salisbury Christian School is a coeducational, college preparatory school for grades
pre-kindergarten (age three) through twelve. Founded in 1966, SCS has grown from
a small preschool to a leading school with a current enrollment of 530 students.
The three-building campus is home to the Madeline Godfrey Perdue gymnasium, two
fully equipped science labs, a fitness center, an upper school media center and
library, a newly renovated lower school library, two technology labs and athletic
fields for soccer, baseball and softball. With 50 faculty and 10 instructional
assistants, the average class size is 19. The faculty tenure average is 11 years.
Located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Salisbury is the county seat of Wicomico
County, population near 99,000. A growing, mostly rural community, Salisbury is
the location of the Perdue Corporation Headquarters, a thriving medical center and
Salisbury University. Atlantic Ocean beaches and resorts are a short distance away.

Within the framework of a Christian perspective, Salisbury Christian
School provides a challenging educational program for students preparing
for four-year colleges and beyond. The curriculum includes college
preparatory, honors, advanced placement and dual enrollment courses
taught by highly qualified SCS faculty, with the opportunity to earn
college credit in high school. At every grade level, instruction is
technology-infused and inclusive of hands-on, experiential learning
opportunities. Differentiated instruction occurs in all lower school
classrooms for both math and reading.

ARTS
SCS has award-winning visual arts, band and choral programs for grades
4 to 12. The lower school participates in the Washington D.C. National
Cherry Blossom Festival, the Salisbury Magi Choral Festival, and on-site
musical productions. Upper school students perform in local and national
band and choral competitions, on-site programs, and visual arts displays.
The upper school drama department produces two shows yearly; recent
productions include Harvey, The Music Man and The Phantom of the Opera.
ATHLETICS
Home of the SCS Jaguars, high school students (JV and Varsity) compete
in soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, golf and track. Middle
school students compete in soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball and
softball. Recent championship titles include: Varsity Volleyball PACC
Champions (8 in a row), Varsity Boys Soccer ESIAC Champions, Varsity
Baseball PACC Champions (8 in a row), Varsity Softball PACC Champions
and golf all-conference honors.

SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT
Salisbury Christian School provides opportunities for spiritual growth at every grade level. Subjects are taught from a
Christian perspective and Bible classes are part of the curriculum for all grades. Students participate in Spiritual Emphasis
Days and a weekly chapel service with their age group; for upper school, this includes student-led worship. The senior class
goes on a one-week international mission trip each year.
