The core elements of RTI Ditigal’s Vortex 850R label printer is the Memjet printhead delivering
single-pass printing for never-before seen speeds. The Vortex narrow format printers are
powered by Memjet technology which makes it possible to print in full color at 30 cm per
sec (12 ips) and up to 215 mm (8,5”) paper width. The Vortex 850R features a roll-to-roll or
a roll-to-cut printing option with variable data, making the Vortex ideal for economic and
efficient printing in the label market. Unlike traditional inkjet systems, the Memjet technology
maintains full productivity for all image types, color mixes, and media types.
The Vortex products are about bringing new technology to the market to take advantage of the
transition from traditional analog printing to digital and to deliver value to those customers
through speed and quality.

The Memjet technology allows print runs that are longer and even shorter but highly versioned.
Multiple sets of different digital content or variable printing with Memjet technology is 5 –

Our range of motorized core holders can handle labels up to 240mm wide, and rewind or unwind rolls having
an outside diameter up to 250mm (contact us for the availability of different outside diameter).
Rolls are rewinded/unwinded onto a 3” core holder and the possibility to adjust the direction of rotation,
clockwise or counterclockwise, allows to rewind / unwind labels both face in and face out.

Memjet Technology
The core element of Memjet’s inkjet technology is the revolutionary
printhead which was developed in Silverbrook Research labs disrupting
previous assumptions about color inkjet printing.
The result is a printhead that is up to 8 times faster than traditional inkjet printheads!
Memjet color printheads use “waterfall” technology. Simply put, the printhead contains
70,400 nozzles and fire millions of ink drops per second. It’s more energy efficient and even faster than most black
and white printers. The Memjet printhead is a paradigm shift in printhead design. It will totally disrupt the narrow
