and the information the program contains is essential to any handicapper.
Distance of the race.
The track record for that distance, the greyhound that
holds the record, and the year the record was set.
The grade for this race. Greyhound’s move up or down in
grade based on performance. To learn more, see the
grading rules section in this program.
The greyhound’s post position and blanket number.
The greyhound’s blanket color
The greyhound’s name
The greyhound’s color, birth date, sire (father) and dam
(mother). When an asterisk appears this denotes that the
greyhound was imported from another country.
Greyhound’s set racing weight
Greyhound’s kennel, trainer and owner. The number next
to the kennel is an identification number assigned to each
kennel racing at Tucson Greyhound Park
Greyhound’s total number of starts followed by 1st, 2nd, 3rd,
th
and 4 place finishes. A separate line is used for each
track. The top line shows the greyhound’s current season
record at TGP. A bottom line would show the previous
season’s record at TGP, or the current seasons record
from another track the greyhound may have run before
coming to Tucson.
Dates of the greyhound’s last six races. The letter
indicates- “a”- afternoon race, “e”- evening race, “s”
means schooling race. The last number indicates the
number of the race in that day’s performance. For
example11/17/01E10 means the greyhound ran in the
tenth race of the evening performance on November 17.
