Human rights education is much more than a

ITL Public School
Class VIII
"Human rights education is much more than a lesson in schools or a theme
for a day; it is a process to equip people with the tools they need to live lives
of security and dignity.”
–Kofi Annan
On 19 July 2014, the UN General Assembly's Open Working Group (OWG) on Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs) forwarded a proposal for the SDGs to the Assembly. The
proposal contained 17 goals with 169 targets covering a broad range of sustainable
development issues. These included ending poverty and hunger,
improving health and education, making cities more sustainable, combating climate change,
and protecting oceans and forests.
ITL Public School firmly believes in fostering each student critical understanding of human
rights and responsibilities, and to develop the attitudes, behaviours and skills to apply human
rights in everyday life .Thus, the Winter Holiday Home Work has been designed to help
our students realize the importance of the same through interesting activities that have been
creatively drafted for them. This shall give them a better insight into ‘Human Rights’ and
equip them with tools and inspiration to take action as Global Citizens of the future.
