1. Sri Lanka
The origin of the dances of Sri Lanka lies within the indigenous people of Sri
Lanka. This song and dance describes the harvesting activity and the beauty of
the countryside of Sri Lanka.
2. Nepal
This dance performance will portray Nepali culture and tradition with customary
steps along with typical Nepali folk songs.
3. Fusion Belly Dance
There are many types of belly dances around the world, and more recently, a
modern, Westernized form of belly dance has emerged that combines elements of
traditional belly dance with other dance styles such as contemporary and hip hop.
4. South Korea
K-Pop is the most popular genre of music in South Korea and Park Hyo Shin is one
of Korea’s best male solo artists. Performing Park Hyo Shin’s rendition of “Goodbye Love” is Carbondale’s own K-Pop star Won Jun Choi, who’s slow ballads and
soothing voice will sure to take you back to the feeling of being in Korea during
the winter!
5. Africa: Full Flutter Dance (Collaborative Dance)
Fun, ethnic and traditional African Dance that helps spread awareness about the
African culture.
6. A tribute to music director: Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy
Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy is an Indian musical trio consisting of Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa. These composers have composed music for over
50 soundtracks across five languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and English.

7. Iran
Persian dance refers to the dance styles indigenous to Iran. Genres of dance in
Iran vary depending on the area, culture, and language of the local people, and
can range from sophisticated reconstructions of refined court dances to energetic
folk dances.
8. Caribbean Student Association
The dance is depicting different styles of dancing that is performed in the
Caribbean. The music will be Reggae style and it is depicting Caribbean culture
and the Caribbean way of life.
9. Nepal
The Nepal singing performance will represent Nepalese melody often chanted
throughout Nepal.
10. China: Chinese Calligraphy
Chinese calligraphy is a form of calligraphy widely practiced in China and revered
in the Chinese people’s everyday lives. In China, calligraphy is considered an
art, and an appreciated aspect of Chinese culture. It is also worthy to note that
Chinese calligraphy focuses not only on methods of writing but also on cultivating
one’s character.
11. India: Desi Divas
These Desi girls are here to perform an Indian fusion to blow your brains out. So
hold your hearts and put your hands together for the Desi Divas.
12. Mongolia: Traditional Dance “Mongolian Lady”
Mongolian lady is a unique form of Mongolian traditional dance performed by
Mongolian young ladies. The dance is dominant with graceful arm movements and
the flexibility emphasizing the beauty of Mongolian ladies.
