Dear Friends in Christ,
It is exciting to welcome all of the students back for this spring semester! The start of
a new semester gives us the opportunity to consider ways in which we can try new
things and avail ourselves to new opportunities. Here at the Newman Center we will
have plenty of activities and events for students throughout the semester. Please
consider participating in our community here in new ways.
One upcoming event that is approaching is our trip to the Franklin Institute to see the
Vatican Splendors exhibit. The recent trip of Pope Francis to our city has stirred much
interest and curiosity in the Papacy and the Vatican. I am confident that the Franklin
Institute’s exhibit will be well worth the trip. This event will take place on a Saturday
morning, so please consider making it a part of your weekend. Further details are in this
bulletin.
There will be many more events and activities here at the Newman Center during this
Spring semester. Once again, I hope that you consider participating in new ways. Christ
is constantly calling us to renew our life of discipleship by vigilantly watching for new
opportunities to grow closer to Him and to embrace these new things.
May God Bless you and all of your endeavors this semester!
Father Tom
