Riders of the Week
“Preparing Students for Their Future”

FL Moffett: Serenity McCollister, Gracie Boyd, Roberto
Contreras, and Luke Fausett
Serenity McCollister is a Kindergartener in Mrs. Jennifer Duvon’s class. Her favorite subject is math. When she grows
up, Serenity wants to be a teacher. Her role model is her teacher Ms. Duvon. One of her favorite things about school so
far was singing in the Poultry Festival. Serenity was chosen as Rider of the week because she has been “spotted” following the campus procedures and rules. She is a good listener and works hard at school.
Gracie Boyd is also a Kindergartner and is in Ms. Stephanie Fults class. Her favorite subjects are science and reading.
Her role model is Jesus and her mom. When she grows up, Gracie says there are so many things she could be. She could
be a super model, but she doesn’t want to be a builder. Gracie likes playing football, baseball, playing with friends, reading and coloring. One of her favorite places to visit is Sea World in San Antonio. Gracie was chosen as Rider of the Week
because she is a joy who has a smile on her face every where she goes. She follows procedures without being reminded
and works well in the classroom with her friends.
Roberto Contreras is in Kindergarten and his favorite subject is
reading. His role model is his father, Manuel Contreras. When he
grows up, Roberto wants to be a doctor. His favorite activities and
hobbies are playing basketball and playing with cars. Roberto was
chosen as Rider of the Week because he is excited about school and
learning. He follows directions and listens to his teacher.
Luke Fausett is in Mrs. Autumn Sanders’ Kindergarten class. His
favorite subjects are writing and reading. His role model is his dad,
Randy Fausett. When Luke grows up, he wants to be a fireman. His
favorite activities are riding four wheelers, going hunting, and playing
outside. Luke was chosen as Rider of the Week because he always has
a smile and a good attitude. He has been “spotted” following the rules
and procedures and does his best.
Center Elementary: Kylan Valdez and Carly Gray
Kylan Valdez is in 3rd grade. He loves math and when he grows up he wants to be a
professional soccer player. His father is his role model because he works very hard to
take care of his family. Kylan loves to play with his friends at recess and to play soccer
with his friends at home after he does his homework. Kylan was chosen as Rider of the
Week because he is an extremely hard working student who is always first to do what
the teacher has asked. He is constantly setting the example and leading by action. He
goes out of his way to help others and is a model citizen.
Carly Gray is in 2nd grade. She loves to learn about science and do experiments. Her
Dad is her role model because when he is home he is very sweet and nice to his children.
When she grows up, she wants to be a professional Pop music singer. Carly loves to go
shopping and going out to eat with her family. Carly was chosen as Rider of the Week
because she is one of the most considerate children you could know. She makes helping
others priority number one. She shows a great deal of respect to her peers and is a friend
to everyone. All of this coupled with a fantastic work ethic makes Carly an easy choice
for Rider of the Week.
Center Intermediate: Victoria Lee and Renata Malone
Victoria Lee is a 4th grader who loves science and math. Her role model
is her mother. When she grows up, Victoria wants to be a teacher and her
favorite activites and hobbies are shopping with her Grandma, art, softball,
and Fine Arts. Victoria was chosen as Rider of the week because she has a
happy and cooperative attitude. She shows pride in her work and is anxious
to please. She bubbles over with enthusiasm. She makes friends quickly and
is well liked.
Renata Malone is a 4th grader who loves science and math. Her role
model is her mother. When she grows up, Renata wants to be a hair stylist.
Renata’s hobbies and activities include art, basketball, tennis, Fine Arts,
and shopping with her Mom. She also loves to sing. Renata was chosen as
Rider of the Week because she performs well in everything she undertakes.
She shows pride in her work and is a pleasant, conscientious student who is
self-confident and has excellent manners.
Center Middle School: Jesse Burns and Madison Agnew
Jesse Burns is an 8th grader who enjoys all of his classes, but would say math has to be his
favorite. He thinks Tim Tebow is a great role model because he worships and praises God on the
field. Jesse plans to attend Texas A&M to become a personal trainer. He loves Aggie football
games. He is involved in tennis, baseball, Beta Club, and Junior Chamber of Commerce. Jesse
was chosen as Rider of the Week because he is one of those students that comes into the classroom and just makes the day better. He always has a smile on his face and is ready to help in
whatever way he can. He takes pride in his work and always does his best. Jesse has some great
goals for the future and there is no doubt he will achieve whatever he
aspires to be.
Madison Agnew is also an 8th grader. She is involved in cheerleading, volleyball, basketball, Junior Chamber of Commerce, plays the
piano, and is a member of the Children of the Republic of Texas. Madison credits God with being her role model. She says God is her inspiration and she would not be
where she is today without Him. Madison is enjoying her 8th grade teachers and thinks that all
of her classes are awesome. Her future plans are to attend the University of Texas to be a child
psychiatrist. Madison was chosen as Rider of the Week because she is an example of a model
student in the classroom. She always does her best in whatever is asked of her. Her attitude
and personality are an inspiration in the classroom.
Center High School: Dakota Low and Maria Tello
Dakota Low is a sophomore. His favorite subject is Art and his role model is his
grandfather, Jerryl Adams. When he finishes school, he wants to be a firefighter. While
at CHS he has been involved with football. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, and riding four wheelers. Dakota was chosen as Rider of the Week because he has shown over
the first few months of the school year to be a true Rider. He is a student that puts others needs ahead of his own and is always happy to give a helping hand when needed by
student or staff. Dakota makes time for others and that is a quality we should all share.
Maria Tello is a senior. Her favorite subject is Health Science and her role model is
her mother, Janeth Tello. When Maria finishes school she wants to pursue a nursing
career. While at CHS Maria has been a Chaparral for four years where she is currently
serving as an officer. She also has run cross country and played varsity soccer for four
years. Maria was chosen as Rider of the Week because she has an infectious smile and
she truly is a friend to everyone. She is the model student. Maria is involved in many
different extracurricular activities and is active in school functions, but more importantly she works hard on her grades. She is a true asset to our school and an easy choice
for Rider of the Week.
