WHAT IS NEW?
Date- Friday, January 2, 2015
Time- 3:20 PM
Network- ESPN
Selection- The Atlantic Coast Conference is back in affiliation with the TaxSlayer Bowl.
Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami and Notre Dame all have strong ties to
area fans. Other options include Boston College, Duke, North Carolina, North
Carolina State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
The Atlantic Coast Conference will share a selection with current partner, the Big Ten
Conference. The Big Ten maintains a large list of national profile teams. Michigan,
Ohio State, Northwestern and Nebraska have all made trips to Jacksonville over the
past four years. Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan State, Minnesota, Penn
State, Purdue, Rutgers and Wisconsin are all tradition rich programs that are also
potential options of the first official football conference.
The TaxSlayer Bowl is also maintaining affiliation to the Southeastern Conference who
will remain on as our home team over the next 6 years. The SEC provides a constant
source of high level competition as well as a local draw to many regional schools.
Mississippi State, Florida, and Georgia have all been involved in the previous years.
Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky, LSU, Missouri, Ole Miss, South Carolina,
Tennessee, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt are the other possible schools.

TAXSLAYER BOWL
SCHOOL FUNDRAISING PROGRAM
GUIDELINES

The TaxSlayer Bowl is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that has contributed millions of
dollars for more than 69 years to support higher education.

Last year, the participating schools and their organizations/associations raised over $25,000
collectively.
HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

A block of 7,500 tickets to the January 2, 2015 TaxSlayer Bowl has been made available to schools
for sale

Tickets are available for $30 (regularly priced $60)

For each $30 ticket sold, $10 is retained by the participating school

Funds raised are unrestricted and available to the school immediately

Each organization is responsible for the sale and collection of all monies and distribution of tickets

Tickets sold by each participating group will be issued together in an individual block

This special offer expires November 14, 2014 (prior to the announcement of the participating teams)

Each participating school/group will determine the timing and length of the fundraiser within the
allotted time frame (August 1 – November 14, 2011)

Ticket sales are monitored through Weekly Updates that are provided by the participating
school/organization during the length of their fundraising event. This report must be submitted
each week from your fundraising start date throughout the duration of the fundraiser
regardless of the quantity of ticket sales.

Only 7,500 tickets are available for sale, so the reporting process is important to ensure that your
ticket orders can be appropriately filled.

At the conclusion of the fundraiser, each organization shall submit one single payment of $20 per
ticket sold to the TaxSlayer Bowl along with a final weekly update. The TaxSlayer Bowl’s portion
of all monies collected must be remitted by 5:00 pm Friday, November 14, 2014. NO
PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

TAXSLAYER BOWL
SCHOOL FUNDRAISING PROGRAM
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK?
The participating school clubs/organizations keep $10 for each $30 TaxSlayer.com TaxSlayer Bowl
ticket sold (Regularly $60). It’s that simple!
WHAT MAKES THIS FUNDRAISING PROGRAM DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS?
a) Unlike other fundraisers, the $10 you earn with each TaxSlayer Bowl ticket sold is immediately
available for your use.
b) Unlike other funding sources, the $10 you earn with each TaxSlayer Bowl ticket sold is
unrestricted to be used at your discretion.
c) The savings are a significant value to your supporters. TaxSlayer Bowl tickets typically sold
at $60 are sold exclusively by local schools for $30.
d) You are providing an opportunity for the parents and children of the entire school family to
come together and have a wholesome afternoon at a major sporting event.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE?
Since you are responsible for the collection of all monies, you may begin using it as soon as you receive
it. At the conclusion of your fundraising event, you submit only the TaxSlayer Bowl’s portion in one
single payment of $20 per ticket sold.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY UNRESTRICTED?
The participating school clubs/organizations in the fundraiser determine how, when, where, why and on
what the money will be spent with no questions asked by the TaxSlayer Bowl. The funds are not
affected by, nor do they affect other funding sources.
HOW LONG IS THIS FUNDRAISER AVAILABLE?
Registration to participate in the school fundraising program ends on October 1, 2014. This special
ticket offer expires on November 14, 2014. Each participating school club / organization will determine
the timing and length of the fundraiser within the allotted time frame (Now – November 14, 2014).
IS THERE A CERTAIN NUMBER OF TICKETS THAT MY GROUP MUST SELL?
No. You may sell any number of tickets. No matter the number sold, you keep $10 per ticket to spend
on your project. Only 7,500 tickets have been allocated to this program – when that number has been
reached, the TaxSlayer Bowl will cease ticket sales.
HOW DO I HANDLE HANDICAPPED SEATING NEEDS?
To purchase a ticket in the handicapped seating area, the ticket purchaser should mark the “Handicapped
Seating” option on the Ticket Order Form. You, (the Program Coordinator), are their contact to reserve
handicapped seats. (Please write your name and phone number on the Ticket Order Form)
Please note: In order to accommodate all handicapped persons, the TaxSlayer Bowl asks that each
handicapped person be limited to purchasing one additional companion seat in the handicapped
section. When you remit your final ticket order form to the TaxSlayer Bowl office on November 15,
please include a list of all handicapped seating needs.
