LOCATION : The Circle is located in the heart of Sheffield city centre, off Division Street (around the
corner from Costa Coffee). It is within easy walking distance of major bus routes and the Supertram
which offers Park and Ride. Sheffield train station is a 10 minute walk. The nearby Q-Park offers 50%
discount. Present your parking ticket at reception in The Circle and you will be given a voucher to use
when paying/leaving the car park. See following pages for all directions and map.

By Car
From M1 North or South. Leave at Junction 33 and follow signs to Sheffield City
Centre. At the Park Square roundabout, keep to the right and take 4th exit towards
City Centre, with the Ponds Forge complex on your left. Continue up Commercial
Street, bearing left onto Arundel Gate and passing the Crucible Theatre on your right
and Sheffield Hallam University buildings on your left. At the roundabout turn right
into Furnival Gate. At next roundabout take 2nd exit and follow road round to your left
but keeping in the right hand lane. At traffic lights turn right into Rockingham Street –
go through 2 sets of traffic lights and the Q-Park is on the left hand side. The entrance
to the Q-Park is on Portobello Street. Once parked, walk back up Rockingham Street,
turn left onto West Street and take 1st right into Rockingham Lane.
The Circle is on your left.
From the West. On reaching the inner ring road A61 (A6134) follow
signs for the City Centre (A625) onto Charter Row. Continue
forwards (passing signs to City Centre car parks). Just before the
roundabout turn left into Rockingham Street and go through 3 sets
of traffic lights. Q-Park is on your left.

Supertram
The Circle is a 2 minute walk from the City Hall tram stop. When travelling from
Meadowhall and Sheffield parkway, alight at the City Hall stop and walk a little further
up West Street, *crossing Carver Street and passing the Walkabout pub on your left.
Turn left into Rockingham Lane and the venue is 100m on your left. When travelling
from Malin Bridge, alight at the City Hall stop, cross over West Street and walk back up
West Street then follow from * above.
By Train
From the station walk up the path (with metal waterfall on your right hand side) Cross
over the pedestrian crossing and walk straight up Howard Street towards the Sheffield
Hallam University main building. Bear right at the top and cross Arundel Gate (dual
carriageway) at the pedestrian crossing, opposite the Millennium Galleries. Follow the
ramped walkway up onto Surrey Street and continue, passing the Central Library on
your right and the Winter Gardens on your left. After passing the Town Hall on your
left, cross over onto Barkers Pool and continue past the City Hall on your right, up onto
Division Street. Rockingham Lane is the fourth street on your right (on the corner of
Costa Coffee) and the Circle is on your right.
Access
The Circle has full wheelchair access with three disabled parking spaces which must be
booked in advance – call 0114 253 6600.
All material will be provided although you will need a calculator for some financial courses.
Lunch is not provided but there are various food outlets located in the area.
Full day courses commence registration at 9.00am and end by 5.00pm.
Most half day courses commence registration at either 9.00am or 1.30pm and end by 12.30pm or
5.00pm but some are half an hour longer so do check your joining instructions which will be emailed to
you.
