Biography of Megan Wisersky
Megan is the Electric Planning Manager for Madison Gas and Electric Company (MGE). Her duties
include developing, advocating, and implementing transmission policies and generation/supply/demand
response strategies for MGE. She oversees MGE’s primary MISO- and state-related resource adequacy
responsibilities. Megan represents MGE in stakeholder meetings of the Midwest ISO, the PJM RTO,
Public Service Commission of Wisconsin, and the American Transmission Company. She has been active
in MISO since 1999, when what is now known as the Market Subcommittee was the Congestion
Management Working Group. She represents the Transmission Dependent Utility (TDU) Sector on the
Advisory Committee and is the current Seams Management Working Group (SMWG) vice chair. Megan
is also active in many FERC-related issues and cases involving various MISO and MGE issues.
Megan joined MGE in 1993 as a load forecaster, working primarily in long-term integrated resource
planning. She also has extensive retail and wholesale electric rates experience. Megan served as a
Commissioner for the Town of Christiana (Wisconsin) Plan Commission. Prior to MGE, Megan held
various analytic and field positions in the petroleum and aerospace industries. She holds a BS (Stanford
University), Masters (University of Texas - Austin), and an MBA (Edgewood College).
