CONGRATULATIONS: to Ruby, Erin & Isabel Wiltshire who are to be Baptised this weekend.
THANKYOU: Fr Frank sends his grateful thanks to you all for the always generous Christmas
offerings to the Parish Priests. This year £4,572.83 was donated. This will be added to the
donations from our other Parishes in Communion and split equally between Fr Frank & Fr Jim.
CALENDAR: The Scouts and Guides have produced a fantastic calendar for 2016 in aid of Unit
funds. They will be on sale at just £6 from unit leaders.
USED POSTAGE STAMPS: We are still collecting used postage stamps for St. Elizabeth’s Centre
– see collection box on shelf by the shop. Please keep your Christmas stamps for the collection.
SOUP RUN: Due to lack of storage space please hold onto all donations of sleeping bags, clothes
& blankets for a while. We have plenty of them and cannot store any more at the moment. Please
continue to kindly donate other small essential items such as crisps, biscuits, razors, toothpaste…
VACANCIES: in our Preschool for a Deputy Preschool Manager/SENCO and for an Early
Years Practitioner. Closing date for both 22nd Jan. Interviews to be held w/c 25th Jan. Visits most

OUR LADY OF LOURDES CHURCH: Due to problems with the central heating & leaks/
ceiling collapse, the Church is closed until mid-January. Therefore, Masses will be at the
weekend only and held in the School Hall.
PARISH PROJECTS: Voting slips are available at the Masses this weekend for voting in the
Parish Project. The ballot will close after Mass on Sunday 17th January. The result will be
announced in the bulletin on 23rd/24th January. Thanks for your participation.

CRAFTY CUPPA'S will be meeting again on Mon 11th Jan in the parish hall from 10am-12 noon.

NATIONAL MARRIAGE WEEK On Sat 6 Feb Bishop Declan is inviting the people of our
diocese to join him at the Celebration of the Eucharist beginning at 12noon as part of National
Marriage Week. This now annual celebration is for the whole diocesan community and especially
our married couples. Following October’s Ordinary Synod on marriage and the family and, as
part of our pilgrimage through the Jubilee, it should be a most joy filled celebration.
