In and around Aphrodite Hills As you follow the road signs and take a route just off the main road between Limassol and Pafos, a view so beautiful it takes your breath away rises up to greet you. This is Petra tou Romiou, the fabled birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, beauty, and fertility. Aphrodite was named after her famous birth - she was born of sea-foam (aphros) and emerged naked from the waves, taking her first steps in Cyprus. The famous formation of rocks marks the spot. Her dramatic birth remains an inspiration for artists and poets the world over, including Botticelli’s masterpiece, nicknamed “Venus on a half shell”. The beauty of Aphrodite was also the inspiration behind Aphrodite Hills - the most stunning and luxurious residential resort to be found on our island of love, and the Eastern Mediterranean. Discover and enjoy the wonders of Aphrodite Hills and its surrounding delights. You will soon discover why the area is fit for the Gods… “The Aphrodite Hills golf course is the culmination of my 40 years experience of designing courses, and I rate it among my very best work.
