Ezra KETCHAM, age 94 years,S
months & 21 days. The
deceased was one of the first settlers of the county,&was
a soldier of the Revolution and was one of the staff who took
Maj. ANDRE as a spy and rods: him into camp.

Page 2:1 - SUDDEN DEATH - Alfred PHELPS jr of the
Junction in this town was found dead in his bed on Monday
morning last. He retired on SUnday night in apparent good
health.
He was about 23 or 24 years of age. His sudden
death is supposed to have been caused by an apopletic fit.
Jonathan H. DYER, Coroner, summoned a Jury who after due
investigation, returned the verdict "Died by the visitation
of God".
Page 2:5 - In this village on Sunday evening last 11th
inst Hrs. Elisabeth, mother of Rev. Z. PHILLIPS, Paster of
the M.E. Church in this place in the 58th year of her age.
Mrs. P. had been sorely afflicted for the last five years
with asthma & consumption combined which affliction she
bore with Christian fo~titude, and died resigned to the will
of her creator, in the confident hope of a final and glorious
resurrection.
Mrs. P. had been a constant member of the
Church for the space of 23 :years. "Blessed are the dead who
shall die in the Lord tt • An eloquent and touching funeral
discourse -;'7<'\8 was pronounced by Rev. N. LEVINGS in the M.E.
