Kennedy was the 35th President of the United States. John F. Kennedy was the youngest person
to become president. He was dedicated to human rights and aid to developing nations. In October
1962, he placed a blockade around Cuba...which brought the world to the brink of nuclear war.
This brought about the test ban treaty of 1963 on nuclear weapons. John F. Kennedy was
assassinated on November 22, 1963, as his motorcade traveled through Dallas, Texas.
