Scholar Commitment
By indicating that you will attend the 2015 NJ Governor’s School in the Sciences, you are making a commitment
to attend the entire program, to abide by Drew University rules, and to respect the property of Drew University.
Please check each box to indicate that you understand these commitments and sign in
the appropriate area below.
I understand and agree to the following:

I will remain in residence at Drew for the entire period from July 12 through August 1, 2015 and
focus my attention on this academic program. I understand that any absences from the campus
must be approved by the Director.

I will live in a Drew University dormitory, will eat meals at designated times with the faculty, staff,
and scholars of the School, and will attend all scheduled sessions including weekend events and
field trips.

I understand that guests on campus are not permitted, with the exception of parents or relatives, on
Sunday.

I will respect the buildings, furniture, equipment, and grounds of Drew University, and will be
financially responsible for any damage which I cause.

I will abide by Drew University and Governor's School rules regarding appropriate conduct on
campus and in the dormitory.

I will not have a car or motorized vehicle.

I will not use alcohol or illegal drugs.

I understand that tuition, room, and board at the School are free, but I am expected to provide my
own money for incidentals and for transportation to and from Drew University.

I understand that if I violate Governor's School or Drew University rules, or do not participate in
scheduled sessions, I may be dismissed from the Governor’s School.
