Educational Pla
Playground markings are an effective, inexpensive way of brightening up a normally grey and featureless
tarmac playground whilst providing a stimulating environment for pupils to learn and play.
Durable and made from thermoplastic materials, our markings are self-cleaning and non-slip, ensuring ‘safety
first’ break and lunch times. A choice of designs are available including classic and popular playground games
(such as hopscotch and noughts and crosses), mazes, characters and pictures, roadways and cycle tracks and
target games. Our sports markings include five-a-side pitches, tennis and netball courts and other popular
sports as well as combination sports courts.
This brochure shows a large selection and provides plenty of choice. However, if you have your own ideas or

Some play equipment will re
One of the most important factors to consider when you are planning your new school play area is the surfacing
on which the equipment will be installed. The appropriate surfacing for your play area will depend on factors
such as the type and height of the equipment you will be installing, the existing ground into which it is to be
installed, durability, cost, appearance, and maintenance.
To meet the requirements of European Standards for Playgrounds EN1176 and EN1177, safety surfacing will be
required under equipment with a Free Fall Height of 600mm or more. For equipment below this, surfacing may not
be compulsory, however, to reduce wear and tear and to allow all weather play, you may still wish to consider one of
the recommended options. Our Area Sales Managers can advise you on this, offering you the best solution within your
budget.

Grassmatt
This rubber surfacing is slip resistant and allows grass to grow through the holes giving
a more ‘natural’ appearance. Laid straight onto the ground, this means that little spoil is
excavated. Grassmatt is low maintenance, allows the grass to be mowed as normal and
can be used under most play equipment.
Wet Pour
Wet Pour is made from a mix of recycled rubber granules that are laid as a
continuous surface in two layers. Laid onto a hardcore base, the depth can vary
to meet the free height of fall of the relevant playground equipment. Our
standard wet pour comes with coloured ‘wear pads’ at no extra cost.
Artificial Grass
Artificial grass allows schools to create safe outdoor areas for use all year round.
Surfaces are all weather, extremely durable and can be installed to any shape and any
size required. Artificial grass can transform any small unused area into a clean and easy
to maintain safe play space.
Eco Surfacing/Mulch
Eco Surfacing/Mulch is a safe, continuous, seamless recycled rubber mulch
surface which is hard wearing and can be laid over almost any type of existing
ground without the need for foundations.
