One paragraph describing why you should be chosen for the scholarship

Meagan A. Baldwin Memorial Scholarship
Requirements:








Pursue a pure or applied science (or related field) in a four-year college or university setting
GPA of 85 or higher
Citizen or permanent resident
Essay (500 words or less) outlining educational and career goals as they relate to field of interest
and to helping people; how the scholarship will help you achieve these goals
Personal statement (150 words or less)

Dacula PTSA Scholarship
Requirements:





DHS senior
Applicant or parent must be a member of the DHS PTSA no later than October 31st of senior year
Must have at least a 2.5 GPA
Transcript
List school activities, community activities, or work activities; include such things as honors,
achievements, leadership positions, and time committed to these activities.
 Two letters of recommendation
 Essay of not more than 500 words: how have Integrity, Humanity, and Scholarship contributed
to your development as a student and as a citizen?
Robert D. Murray, IV Memorial Scholarship
Requirements:
 DHS senior athlete, male or female
 Shall exhibit a zest, zeal, and love for the sport or sports played, a focus on the importance of
academics, a concern for fellow students and a respect for faculty, an appreciation for the value
of teamwork, a sense of humor, a spirit of cooperation, and mostly a burning desire to better
himself or herself as a student athlete
 Transcript
 One page essay on how your career at DHS most closely personifies Robby Murray
 Three short answer responses, fifty words or less: tell how your best friend would describe you,
tell why you want to pursue higher education and what you hope to gain from that experience,
describe your most memorable athletic event.
Mulberry Elementary Leaving Your Mark Scholarship
Requirements:
 Senior who has attended Mulberry Elementary School in the 5th grade
 Should exhibit ideals: Service, Leadership, and Mentorship
 One to two page essay expressing how the applicant demonstrates service, leadership and
mentorship; detail your volunteer/service activities and describe how you are a role model to
other students.
 One letter of recommendation
Dacula Lions Club Scholarship
Requirements:
 Description of the community service in which you were involved during your junior and senior
years
 350-word essay on what has been your most rewarding experience during your community
service.
 Two letters of recommendation
 Required minimum GPA 2.7 at end of 1st semester senior year
Ashley Muck Memorial Scholarship
Requirements:





Minimum GPA 3.5
Taken AP Calculus AB or AC
Plans to become a teacher and/or work in a math related field
Demonstrates a positive attitude and uplifting personality
One-page essay describing what math has meant to you and how it has impacted you.
Diversity Program Scholarship
Requirements:
 Senior who has participated or attended DHS’s Diversity Program
 If a participant, 200 words minimum on what you got out of the Dacula Diversity Program.
 If an attendant, 300 words minimum on how a diversity program builds cohesion in the Dacula
community; explain how you may carry what you experienced in the program into your future
endeavors.
Kiwanis Club Scholarship
Requirements:






Key Club member in good standing
Recommended by faculty advisors of Key Club
Graduating student seeking formal training in the culinary arts (has priority over others)
Graduating student seeking Bachelor or Associate degree or Certificate in a vocational trade
Student with at least a 2.0 GPA
Student demonstrating determination in all things
