Week 6! --GOOGLE DOC
š Create a new google doc from the google doc template
š NAME THIS Weeks 6-10 vocabulary
HOW TO ADD AN OUTLINE
š An outline will help you click to the current week without having to scroll through
your document slowly
š Click the “TOOLS” button in Google Docs
š Click “Document Outline”
š Highlight the text in your document that says the titles of the weeks (“Week 1”,
“Week 2”, etc) and change them from “normal” to “Heading 3” ---- this option is
to the left of where you can change the font
š As long as you keep the document outline open (IN ALL YOUR GOOGLE DOCS)
this will work. If you close the outline in one document it will close in ALL your
documents.

2. To research or investigate
Synonyms: search, hunt, explore

Definition: (adjective)
1. To present as a gift
Synonyms: give, award, grant
šAphrodite was so impressed with the mortals in
Corinth that she bestowed them with a golden
harp.
luminous
Definition: (adjective)
1. radiating or reflecting light; shining; bright.
2. lighted up or illuminated; well-lighted
Synonyms: illuminated, lit, glowing
š The luminous dial on his watch showed that it was four
o’clock
š Figurative: Helen’s eyes were luminous with joy
irksome
Definition: (adjective)
1. To be annoying or bothersome
Synonyms: tiresome, irritating, exasperating

gargantuan
Definition: (adjective)
1.Gigantic, enormous, colossal
Synonyms: immense, huge
šThe minotaur had a gargantuan appetite.
repulsive
Definition: (adjective)
1. causing intense distaste or disgust.
Synonyms: disgusting, revolting, nasty
š A repulsive smell was coming from the cyclops
Polyphemus’ lair.
compelling
1. Definition: (adjective)
2. Evoking interest, attention, or admiration in a powerfully
irresistible way
Synonyms- interesting, fascinating,
š The reasons to start war with Troy were too compelling,
Mycenae and Sparta just couldn’t say no.
