Name of problem Patch to address Signed jars certificate expiration issue in FPM and MSA part of Avaya Integrated Management Performance and Administration: Release 6.0, Service Pack 8 Products affected Integrated Management Performance and Administration: Release 6.0, Service Pack 8 Problem description Immediately Problem 1 – Certificate expired in signed jars of Fault and Performance Manager (FPM) on the 22nd of May, 2014. Problem 2 – Certificate expired in signed jars of MultiSite Administration (MSA) on the 22nd of May, 2014. Resolution Install Cert_patch.tar provided as a separate download on the support website to resolve the above mentioned issues. Workaround or alternative remediation n/a Remarks Please make sure that Service Pack 8 is present on the system before the starting the patching process. Install Notes The information in this section concerns the Installer, if any, recommended in the Resolution above. Backup before upgrading from previous Administration Tools Release Recommended. Download Download the Cert_patch.tar file for 32 bit/64 bit systems . It can be obtained from the downloads section for Integrated Management (All Offers) as Patch for FPM and MSA signed jar with valid certificate to P&A 6.0 Service Pack 8 on support.avaya.com. Install instructions Service-interrupting? Please read the procedure below carefully before applying the patch. No Step 1: Transfer the downloaded tar file to the FPM/MSA server (Linux server). Using the /tmp directory as destination is recommended. Step 2: Extract the contents of tar file using tar command tar –xvzf Cert_patch.tar Step 3: Change to the directory called Cert_patch_32bit or Cert_patch_64bit depending on your system configuration using either the cd Cert_patch or the cd Cert_patch_32bit command Step 4: Install the patch by executing the command ./install-full-patch.sh /opt Step 5: If FPM is installed run the mfpmconfig command Step 6: If FPM is installed run the recovertom6 command and wait until the command mfpm status shows all FPM services in "Active" status. The steps above will install the certificate patch and create a backup*** of the replaced mfpma.jar file at /opt/avaya/mfpm/mfpmbackup-<date time>. The patch also creates a backup copy of old mcm_client.jar at /opt/avaya/msa/mcmbkup-<date time > for future reference.
