Step One - Enter Text
Step One has two parts. The first part is to type in the
text that you’d like to digitize. Once the text is entered into the text box, the second part is to select
which True Type font that you’d like to use for the
text.
True Type fonts are the fonts that comes automatically
within your computer’s operating system. When you
click on Select, the Font box opens. A list of the True
Type fonts that are available appears in the section on
the left. You can scroll through the list by selecting the
downward of upward arrows next to the list of font
names. A tip for speeding up the browsing process is
to type in the beginning letter of the name of the True
Type font you desire. For example, if you’d like to select the True Type font called Helena, type in an “h” in
the “Name” space, and the list will advance to all of the
fonts that start with the letter H. This is a great time
saver!
You have the option to vary the font even further by
changing the style of the font with “Style” options:

Step Two - Embroidery Settings
In this step, you are able to choose the style in which the letters will be filled in. There are two options, “Fill” or “Column”.
If “Fill” is selected, the letters will be filled using a step-satin
type stitch with only one stitch angle or stitch direction. Typically, this type of fill is appropriate for large letters that have

So what do you do if you’d like to create a large letter with multiple stitch angles, but still use a

To illustrate this, the letter “S” will be used. Go through the steps of
creating the letter using the HyperFontTM wizard completely, however,
be sure to select “Column” in the last step. At this time, do not be concerned that this letter would be too large for this type of fill because
this will be changed through the editing process. The goal at this stage
is to create the basic layout of the letter which has

Printing a Template
Have you ever wondered if there was an easy way to position designs on the fabric exactly
where you want to place them? For some embroidery projects, exact placement of the design
The software for the SINGER® FUTURATM sewing and
embroidery machine will allow you to print a template. This will help take the guess work out of positioning a design. To use this feature, go to File from
the main menu, then select Print. This will open a
menu to your printer. Then simply follow the steps
that you normally would to print something out.
Once the design is printed, use a pencil and ruler to
draw a box that encloses the outermost part of the
design. Cut around the design to remove excess the
paper, creating a template. Be sure that the crosslines are included in
the template. Then, position the paper template onto the fabric and
