P2 divided into two groups at the Tangmere Aviation Museum in Sussex. One
group was called Spitfire and the other group was called Hurricane. We sat in
the planes, we learnt about Douglas Bader and we heard all about the Tangmere
ghosts! At lunch time a real Spitfire flew over!, perfect timing! A great day.
Well done P2!
This week we had our regular visitor Barry the Beefeater come into the school
to tell us about his job at The Tower of London. He bought his friends “The
Pearly Kings” with him to explain about their traditions. Lots of classes got to
meet them and hear all their stories.
Oak Bridge News
Oak Bridge students explored the Roof Garden at Kensington. We then had our
lunches in the beautiful surroundings of the Maria Assumpta. The nuns invited
us into their home and garden where we met Tommy, their large and friendly
tortoise! Many thanks to the nuns for making us feel so welcome and for giving
us a very special day.
P4 had a wonderful workshop at RAF Hendon! We learnt all about a special pilot
who flew an old bi-plane. We sat by his plane and tried on his gear!
