Triple P—Positive Parenting
Program has been in Sault Ste.
Marie and throughout the District
of Algoma since 2011. This
program will provide any parent
with children from 0-16 years of
age with the tools to help you deal
with your child’s behaviour.
Triple P gives you just enough
strategies that you can apply to just
about any situation and get
behaviour you want to see. When
you change the way you parent,
your child or teen’s behaviour will
change too!
To find out what is happening in the Soo and District, visit our website at www.triplepalgoma.ca. There you will find tips,
see what is happening in the community and on the calendar, find seminars and groups happening in your area. You can
even register right then to the event you want to attend. There is also a link to our Facebook page and read what is being
tweeted about!
To read some of the many blogs written by the founder of Triple P, Prof. Matt Sanders and Alan Ralph, visit the Ontario
Triple P website (http://www.triplep-parenting.ca/ont-en/blog-and-videos/blogs-and-news/). You will find some
interesting articles about breaking a child’s bad habits, why sharing is important, how positive parenting can work in any
culture, teens and alcohol and so many more.

Babywearing of Algoma
[email protected]
Babywearing of Algoma is a trained volunteer group of
parents who love to carry their babies close from the
newborn stage through toddlerhood and beyond.
Babywearing helps infants develop emotionally,
socially and meets their physical needs. The experience
of being in the womb teaches infants to enjoy the
rhythm of their mother’s movements. After birth, the
experience of being held close to a parent’s body helps
them recall the peace they felt in the womb. A baby
sling swaddles them and helps control the movement
of their arms and legs. The Babywearing of Algoma
support group is held monthly at the Best Start Hub.
Drop-ins are welcome or contact the Babywearing
group and they will do their best to arrange a play date
at another time. Also, be sure to connect with their
vibrant online community:
