1 Place non-ratchet hook securely on the middle
of the handle of the lead shopping cart.
8–10 CARTS MAX
2 Place ratchet hook securely on the middle
of the handle you will use to push the line
of carts.
3 Engage the C3 Safety Rope by pulling the
rope through the ratchet with moderate force
to create lift. Do not over tighten.
Ease tension
while pulling the
release clip.

4 To remove the C3 Safety Rope, ease tension
—gently lift up on the handle of the cart you
push—while simultaneously engaging the
release clip.
Important: Use only your thumb or the
release-assist device (attached to the C3 ST
Safety Rope handle) to pull the release clip.
