"I'm going to call my boss right now!" he announced. I love gym. But ever since I broke my leg when I climbed the gym rope, I had to sit out the whole class and miss all the fun. "Patrick! Patrick!" my best friend called. "I hope we do something boring so you don't miss out." My best friend's name is Joe. He is always looking on the bright side. "How am I going to play basketball?" I thought to myself as I touched my arm and felt the end where half of it was gone. "How are you feeling, Brittney?" the nurse called and passed me some water. "A little better," I replied. Skweaky, skweaky! Triixie's wheels on her wheelchair needed oil again. Her mother quickly solved that problem before sending her to school. "Do you want me to help you get to school again?" her mother asked, as if it wasn't safe to go to school. "No, I think I got the hang of this now." Trixie swiftly zoomed out the door to school. "Wake up, wake up!" chanted Isabelle as she frantically pushed on the wheels of her wheelchair. It was Christmas morning and the tree was flooded with gifts. He told me that the blood tests were in and I had cancer in my right arm. My jaw dropped. He told me that I would have to have my arm amputated. Will my parents ever love me for who I am on the inside and outside I wondered to myself as I rolled down the ramp for breakfast. "Good morning, Fredric," Mother announced. Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump! was the sound made as Kevin's amputated leg hit the ground and came back up. Why was he running? It was because his little brother Tommy had gotten cancer so he was running as fast as he could in his school's Marathon of Hope. "Do we have to go to the hospital?" Todd asked.
