I t shall be lawful for t h e R i g h t R e v e r e n d Alfred B a r r y or his successors Bishops of S y d n e y to sell a n d dispose of t h e said lands so g r a n t e d as aforesaid t o g e t h e r w i t h t h e h o u s e or p a r s o n a g e erected thereon and the appurtenances thereto belonging either by public a u c t i o n or p r i v a t e c o n t r a c t a n d e i t h e r i n one lot or s e p a r a t e lots as h e or t h e y shall d e e m m o s t e x p e d i e n t a n d for s u c h price or prices as c a n b e obtained for t h e s a m e a n d u p o n such t e r m s a n d conditions as to p a y m e n t of t h e p u r c h a s e m o n e y a n d other m a t t e r s as t h e said R i g h t R e v e r e n d Alfred B a r r y or his successors m a y d e e m e x p e d i e n t a n d to b u y in t h e same premises or a n y p a r t or p a r t s thereof a t a n y a u c t i o n sale or t o rescind or v a r y t h e t e r m s of a n y c o n t r a c t for sale a n d to resell a n d w h e n sold to c o n v e y a n d assure t h e p r e m i s e s or a n y p a r t or p a r t s thereof i n fee-simple t o t h e p u r c h a s e r or p u r c h a s e r s thereof his her h e r or t h e i r heirs or assigns freed a n d d i s c h a r g e d from all t h e t r u s t s affecting t h e s a m e c r e a t e d by t h e said g r a n t or otherwise a n d t h e receipt in w r i t i n g of t h e B i g h t R e v e r e n d Alfred B a r r y or his suc cessors for a n y m o n e y arising f r o m s u c h sale or sales shall be a n effectual a n d a b s o l u t e d i s c h a r g e t o t h e p u r c h a s e r or p u r c h a s e r s of t h e said land or a n y p a r t or p a r t s thereof a n d shall e x o n e r a t e h i m or t h e m from seeing to t h e a p p l i c a t i o n of a n y proceeds of such sale or sales a n d from all liability as to t h e mis-application or n o n - a p p l i c a t i o n thereof. 2. T h e said R i g h t R e v e r e n d Alfred B a r r y a n d h i s successors shall s t a n d possessed of all m o n e y s arising from each a n d e v e r y s u c h sale or sales as aforesaid U p o n t r u s t after p a y m e n t t h e r e o u t of t h e expenses of s u c h sale or sales a n d of t h i s A c t t o a p p l y t h e same i n or t o w a r d s t h e p u r c h a s e of o t h e r p r e m i s e s situated in t h e said parish of Saint S t e p h e n ' s suitable for a p a r s o n a g e or residence for t h e c l e r g y m a n for t h e t i m e b e i n g d u l y appointed to officiate in t h e said C h u r c h of S a i n t S t e p h e n ' s or in t h e p u r c h a s e of a n o t h e r piece or pieces of l a n d i n t h e said p a r i s h of S a i n t S t e p h e n ' s as a site for t h e erection t h e r e o n of a d w e l l i n g - h o u s e or p a r s o n a g e for t h e said c l e r g y m a n a n d t o apply t h e r e m a i n d e r of t h e said m o n e y s (if a n y ) w h i c h shall n o t be r e q u i r e d for t h e purposes last aforesaid in or t o w a r d s t h e erection i m p r o v e m e n t or r e p a i r of a dwelling-house or p a r s o n a g e for t h e said c l e r g y m a n u p o n t h e said land or l a n d s to be p u r c h a s e d as aforesaid a n d t h e receipts of a n y person or persons to w h o m a n y m o n e y s shall be paid u n d e r t h e provisions of t h i s A c t shall be valid a n d complete discharges t o t h e said R i g h t R e v e r e n d Alfred B a r r y a n d h i s successors for s u c h m o n e y s . 3. T h i s A c t m a y be cited as " Saint S t e p h e n ' s C h u r c h of E n g l a n d P a r s o n a g e C a m p e r d o w n Sale A c t 1 8 8 6 . "
