Import .dae (Collada) Files into G-3D What you see in G-3D when you import a .dae (Collada) file may not match what you saw in your modeling tool. Some adjustments of the scene might be required. Camera near/far clipping planes might need adjustment. Cameras must be created with the output aspect ratio in mind. Lights often need to be adjusted. Material shininess often needs to be adjusted. Texture coordinates must be properly generated for meshes. If there is z-fighting it must be manually resolved, either in G-3D or in the modeling tool. Render order of transparent objects may require adjustment. If you can’t successfully import the Collada file into MAXON CINEMA 4D or Autodesk® 3ds Max®, you will probably have the same problems importing it into G-3D. © 2014 Imagine Communications.
