Potato Product Portfolio - FMC Agricultural Solutions

FMC POTATO
PRODUCT PORTFOLIO
1
IT TAKES A
THICK SKIN.
At every point in the season there are armies of weeds, pests and
organisms you can’t even see trying to plunder your spuds. Any
weakness in the armor, any loose bricks in the fortress walls, and they’ll
exploit the gap in defense and pillage your bottom line. It’s a lot to think
about and the less worry involved, the better.
That’s why we’ve created the FMC potato portfolio of products.
Whether it’s wireworms, aphids, fungus, PVY or beetles, we’ve got
a product that offers steel-toe protection and outperforms competitive
brands. It’s confidence when and where you need it most.

CHALLENGE:
PINK ROT, LATE BLIGHT AND TUBER BLIGHT
SOLUTION: RANMAN® FUNGICIDE
Ranman® fungicide is serious
chemistry that can prevent and treat
oomycete diseases in every stage of
the pathogens’ life cycle. Its unique
mode of action works like no other product on the market for satisfying
prevention and treatment of pink rot, late blight and tuber blight.
SOIL APPLICATION GUIDELINES
At planting:
6.1 oz/A
Mid-season:
OTHER BENEFITS INCLUDE:
2-3 applications at 2.75 oz/A
for foliar protection.
Unique mode of action: excellent resistance management
tool to rotate with other chemistries. Only fungicide in
FRAC group 21.
Final application:
Reduced risk fungicide: short pre-harvest interval, 7 days for
potatoes. The restricted entry interval is 12 hours.
2-3 applications at 2.75 oz/A
as the final applications for
tuber blight.
Excellent residual activity: its affinity for waxy surfaces
of crops, excellent spreading properties and translaminar
movement ensure superior rainfastness and long
residual activity.
RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT
Do not make more than 3 consecutive applications of Ranman
without following with 3 applications of another fungicide with a
different mode of action before applying more Ranman. Do not
make more than 10 applications of Ranman per crop per season.
RANMAN USAGE
Ranman should be tank mixed with a surfactant. When using a
surfactant, an NIS, blended NIS or an organosilicone surfactant is
recommended. Maxim amount per year: 27.5 oz/A
FOLIAR APPLICATION
Use 2-3 applications mid-season at 2.75 oz/A for foliar protection.
See label for full instructions.

WIREWORM
SOLUTION: CAPTURE® LFR® AND BRIGADIER® INSECTICIDES
Capture® LFR® is a liquid, at-plant insecticide
that creates a zone of protection around seeds,
seedlings and tubers to eliminate pests. With
less sub-surface insect damage, stand count
increases and robust root systems absorb more beneficial nutrients
and tuber quality is improved.
OTHER BENEFITS INCLUDE:
Pyrethroid chemistry: prevents resistance issues with older
classes of chemistry. An economical option for insect control.
Long residual activity to help protect tubers all season long.
Product Flexibility and New Formulation: mixes well
with fertilizers

CHALLENGE:
APHIDS, PSYLLIDS, PVY AND PLRV
SOLUTION: BELEAF® INSECTICIDE
To stop both aphid damage and the spread of viruses
faster, Beleaf® insecticide begins to stop feeding
within 30 minutes of application. It works by affecting
the potassium channel in the aphid’s nervous system,
which permanently and irreversibly ends feeding for
good. This can potentially halt the spread of PVY and eventually leads
to the pest’s starvation. Unlike competitive treatments that “interfere”
with an aphid’s interest or ability to feed, Beleaf is proven to disable
aphid feeding.
Pests: aphids, plant bugs,

The rate varies by aphid species.

Unique mode of action: Excellent resistance management
tool. No cross resistance to other insecticides, including
neonicitinoids.
IPM friendly: Excellent aphid and lygus control with little-to-no
impact on beneficial arthropods and pollinators.
Does not flare mites.
Highly active on sucking insects: Active though contact and
ingestion and effective on adults and immature stages.
Application flexibility: 7 day PHI and no phytotoxicity on crops.
Controlled pests include: aphids, plant bugs and
greenhouse whiteflies.
BELEAF USAGE
Use highest rates for longer residual, heavy pest pressure and dense
canopies. 2.4 oz will provide 14 day residual while 2.8 oz will provide
21 day residual. Do not apply more than 2.8 oz/A per application. Do
not apply more than 3 applications per year and allow a minimum of 7
days between applications.

RESISTANT COLORADO POTATO BEETLES, PSYLLIDS AND MITES
SOLUTION: ATHENA® INSECTICIDE/MITICIDE
Athena® insecticide/miticide controls
neonicotinoid resistant Colorado potato
beetles, as well as psyllids (adults and
nymphs) and mites with two modes of action.
First, robust translaminar activity penetrates
mature leaves for maximum protection on both sides of the leaf.
Secondly, long residual control eliminates pests that continue to crawl
along the plant surface. When as few as 3-4 psyllid nymphs can cause
symptomology and rapidly increase to threshold levels, it’s good to
have protection you can count on.
OTHER BENEFITS INCLUDE:
Optimized formulation: Ternary-molecular technology combines
greater insect control with formulation flexibility.

Multiple pest control: Potato pysllids, lygus, mites, leafminers,
aphids, armyworms, Colorado potato beetles, leafhoppers,

With Aim® EC herbicide, excellent leaf and stem kill provide higher

move into the tuber, and for the tuber to release from the vine. This helps
