Speaking
The Speaking Directions for Administration (DFA) now includes
graphic tiles (reduced-size graphics from the test booklet) for each
question, to assist the examiner in matching the test question in
the student booklet to the DFA script during administration.
All grade bands
Speaking
The answer sheet associated with the Speaking test will no longer
include circles with an “A” inside of them. Scorers will record a
score of “0” if a student provides no response to a Speaking
question, rather than the code of “A”.
All grade bands
Speaking
The Speaking DFA includes more precise instruction on how to
apply the Skipping Rule.
Speaking
The Speaking DFA provides a reminder to examiners to thoroughly
review the Speaking test materials prior to administration,
especially the passage-text questions, to be better able to identify
when a student is simply repeating or reading the text.
Listening
A Listening CD Track menu has been provided in the L/R/W DFA to
assist examiners in identifying the starting point of the Listening
section for Sessions 2 and 3 without having to reference the
physical CD label.
