WEEK 20
Reflect and Write
 This assignment should be done after having discussed the readings.
 Answers should be thoughtful and deep rather than quick, wordy, or shallow.
 Answers should make use of complete sentences as well as good grammar, spelling,
word choice, and so forth.
 Answer should show signs of editing and proofreading
Write an essay that answers this question: What is Christian Solidarity among nations? Is it
practiced today?
Read over the CCC, par. 2426–2442. Use that in order to formulate a definition of Christian
Solidarity. This definition and explanation should be the first body paragraph of your essay. In the
second body paragraph you should provide an argument based on information about the US
concerning whether Christian Solidarity is practiced or it isn’t. Try to deal with some specific issues
in which the US is involved or not involved in helping other “Christian” nations (we will assume for
the sake of argument that the US is a Christian nation). This should be a four paragraph essay total:
the two body paragraphs mentioned already as well as an intro and conclusion.
Reread, revise, and rewrite. Ask others to read it. Finalize the essay and turn it in.
