4th Sunday
of Advent:
Love
Today we light
the fourth candle
in our Advent
wreath, the candle
that reminds us
of God’s gift of
love.
Let us
remember, however, the gifts
of God symbolized
by the other candles in the wreath:
Por favor considere comprar una Poinsettia en memoria de un ser querido o
en honor de un cumpleaños, aniversario, o otra intención especial.
Sólo $8,00 por orden. Nuestra orden es
limitada, así que pase por la oficina de
la parroquia pronto para comprar la
suya! Estas van a decorar nuestro altar
para la NAVIDAD.
the LIGHT of HOPE,
the LIGHT of PEACE, and
the LIGHT of JOY.
The Bible tells us that it is because God loved the
world so much that Jesus came. The angel also tells
Joseph that the baby to be born will be called
“Emmanuel”, “God with us”. Because God loves us
and came into the world to be with us, we too must
love and care for others. Jesus came to show us how
to live that love. Now we are Jesus’ disciples in the
world today. Remember that Jesus wants us to love
others as He loves us. Therefore, this Advent candle
reminds us of God’s never-ending love for us and
that we must show that love by loving one another.
Give Special Christmas Cards This Season
The Clerical Endowment Fund, promoted by the Austin Diocesan Council of
Catholic Women is a fund set up to help our Bishop educate young men for the
priesthood and help provide building loans for the diocesan parishes. Both the
individual who donates and the person who is remembered share in the spiritual favors through monthly Masses offered by the Bishop, CEF director and
daily by the seminarians in their special intentions.
Mass and Prayer Remembrances are a wonderful way to recognize any occasion. Our special
Christmas cards are now available in the church office for $2.00 along with the regular
cards: for either $2.00 individual or $5.00 for a couple.
They are also available by contacting Barbara Haenel, Parish chairman, at 512-393-8688.

STEWARDSHIP REFLECTIONS
“When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded
him and took his wife into his home.” MATTHEW 1:24
Putting our complete trust in the Lord without expecting anything in return. Striving to put God
first in all things and following Him wherever He may led us. As we prepare for the birth of our
Lord, pray for the strength and courage to be a model of discipleship, just as Joseph was.
"Cuando José se despertó, hizo lo que el ángel del Señor le había mandado,
y llevó a su mujer a su casa." Mateo 1:24

THEOLOGY OF THE BODY
Final Class this year will held on Monday,
December 19 (7pm—9pm) in Claretian Hall B
Parents, what do you tell your children when they ask you
about sex and why the Church has strict rules about sexual
behavior?
You don’t have to wonder what to say to teens. The Theology
of the Body gives you the reasons for our beliefs and makes
sense of how we live out our sexuality.
Freedom to Love addresses critical questions, including:
What is the
Theology of the Body and how can it change my life?
What does it mean to live a life of freedom?
What does love look like & how do I live it?
How can I tell the difference between love and lust?
Does contraception make me free?
Does God have a plan for my future?
… and much more.
The class is free – workbooks are available.
Call (830) 837-3964 for more information.
