They explored sequencing the story, recalling and writing about their favourite part/favourite animal. They made animal masks to support them in retelling the story aloud. In Art they used their Chinese warrior designs to help them print patterns into clay using all sort of tools and materials. They then recorded which patterns they found easy/hard to make and adapted their original warrior designs. In Math they have been exploring multiples of 10, counting on in 10´s or adding 10´s and near multiples. In PSHE they have been creating ´treasure boxes´considering things that are important to us. They went on a school trip into Palma and had a visit to the Cathedral where they learnt lots of interesting facts about the city and its historic buildings. We explored how cheese is made and completed a challenge to name as many foods as possible that came from a plant or animal. We had a great time on the trip around Palma. We found out lots of interesting facts and especially enjoyed seeing Sant Sebastian´s bone that we learnt about in topic! What an exciting topic! In Numeracy we have been looking at shapes. We've had lots of fun playing different games, including "find, name and count", which children loved to play! Linked with this topic we are starting a new art project. We are all very excited about it! We'll share the result and photos of the process very soon. Can anyone guess which artist was very much into shapes? The answer, very soon! " Baleares International College San Agustin (+34) 971 40 31 61 [email protected]
