THE PAPILLON GROUP, PINK JEEP TOURS ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP,
NEW TOUR EXPERIENCES ENABLING VISITORS TO SEE SOUTHWEST
LANDSCAPES BY AIR, LAND
LAS VEGAS (April 2013) – To be officially announced during June’s 2013
International Pow Wow, two of the travel industry’s top tour companies—The Papillon
Group and Pink Jeep® Tours—are teaming up to offer outdoor experiences that will
enable tourists to explore the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and Sedona, Ariz., by air and
land. Beginning April 15, visitors will be able to book scenic expeditions including air
tours aboard The Papillon Group’s helicopters and airplanes, as well as tours by land via
Pink Jeep® Tours’ fleet of Tour Trekkers, the revolutionary, high-end, all-terrain
vehicles designed and custom-built to offer the ultimate land tour experience.
During Pow Wow, The Papillon Group can be found at Booth #1907 and Pink Jeep Tours
will be at Booth #1926.
“This partnership represents our companies’ commitment to offering travelers seamless
connections from one experience to the next,” says Robert Graff, vice president of
marketing, The Papillon Group. “Imagine, one moment you’re soaring through the air in
a Papillon helicopter, getting a bird’s eye view of the Grand Canyon. Next, you’re
landing, boarding a Pink Jeep® Tours Tour Trekker vehicle and exploring the canyon
from a completely different perspective.”
The new blended tours will have points of departure from Las Vegas; Boulder City, Nev.,
Sedona, Phoenix and Scottsdale, Ariz. Showcased attractions will include Sedona’s
stunning rock formations; the Grand Canyon National Park South Rim or Grand Canyon
West Rim, home of the world-famous Skywalk. Guests will also see the Hoover Dam and
the new nearby Bypass Bridge—the largest single-arch concrete bridge in the Western
Hemisphere.
“By vertically integrating our products, together we will offer what no one else in tourism
will be able to and we are beyond excited to partner with The Papillon Group to make it
possible,” says Grant Ferguson, chief marketing officer, Pink Jeep® Tours. “Demand for
this type of experience is at an all-time-high, particularly from our international visitors,
and now we will be able to fulfill their requests by creating this multi-pronged approach
to exploring the Southwest.”
With most air tour narrations available in 16 languages including Spanish, Japanese,
Portuguese, Italian, French, Dutch, Cantonese, Mandarin, German, Korean and English,
The Papillon Group’s tours are ideal for international travelers. A highlight in The
Papillon Group’s fleet remains the state-of-the-art EcoStar EC130 helicopters. These
aircraft have been designed from the ground up for sightseeing and feature a nearly 180degree field of view, stadium seats, passenger to pilots’ communications, and
choreographed music. For tours via airplanes, the Vistaliner remains a popular option
amongst travelers featuring patented vista view windows and high wings for unobstructed
views.
As for the Tour Trekker, considered to be luxurious yet rugged, it is the first of its kind,
high-end, all-terrain vehicle, designed and licensed to be custom-built specifically for
Pink Jeep® Tours. The vehicle easily navigates off-road terrain, enabling guests to
experience remote areas inaccessible to most. The Tour Trekker features all-leather
captain chairs; large vista windows; a technologically-advanced air-conditioning system
and comfortably seats 10 passengers so guests can truly enjoy the “small group
experience.”
Tour prices will begin at $89 with length of durations ranging from four to 13 hours.
Tours will be available every day of the week with departures beginning as early as 5
a.m. Experiences will be available to book both online or via phone: www.Papillon.com,
(888) 635-7272 or www.PinkJeepTours.com, (888) 900-4480.
