Sebastian River High School 2016 Summer Enrichment – Recommended Reading List The following titles are recommended for reading over the summer. In Honors and AP/IB, these books will be covered at a rapid pace, so it is to the student's advantage to read the books over the summer to have a basic understanding of the text prior to the in-class study. It is extremely useful to annotate the text as you read or to keep a reading log - get an inexpensive spiral or a composition book and take notes of events and characters in each chapter, note new words, and write questions that come up as you are reading. Often students read books in June or July and then forget what they've read by the time school starts in August. If you are keeping a good journal, it will be easy for you to refresh your memory when the summer is over. Since many people use tablet devices, the electronic version of this document at www.go-sharks.org contains links to online editions of most of the books. SRHS and SDIRC in no way endorse these websites; the links are provided merely for your convenience. If any of the links provided do not work, a simple Google search of "book title" + "full text" should produce results. If no online link is listed, the book is still under copyright and is not available online. We look forward to seeing you on August 10!
