Stonewalls jumped out too a 4-0 lead to have CJ’s on the Bay come roaring back
scoring four runs in the fourth inning and another five in the fifth. Winning pitcher
Larry Anspach, Don Rooksberry, Pat Shannon and Dan Stanard had two hits for
CJ’s. Teammates Dave Banghart and Randy Wesolowski chased three runs
home, Anspach and Stang two. Stonewalls had Dick Corley, Paul Burnett, and
John Hollerbach with two hits, with Hollerbach and John Luegering having two
RBI.

Mango’s Warren Uhl and Paul Vorwick stroked while Joe Barry and Doug Kemp
had two. Vorwick smacked a triple and ended the game with five RBI and Don
O’Connell swatted a three run homerun. Mango’s pitcher Jim Battye tossed a
seven hitter against Flamingo’s with George Lancaster having two hits and Ray
Zielinski driving both of Flamingo’s runs

Stonewalls eliminated Rookies from the tournament and ending their season. Bill
DiNeno, John Luegering, Dick Carson, and Jerry Lenhoff had two hits in
Stonewalls win. Luegering hit a lined shot grand slam homerun which led to the
win with Joe Cervelli helping out with two RBI. Bob Traver and Rob Mann nailed
three hits for Rookies, Jim Baumann and Nick Brooks had two. Traver and John
Wood drove in two runs in the loss.

Ralph Leiterding, Ray Niemeyer and Leon Schmitt tagged three hits for
Flamingo’s; Paul Womack, George Lancaster and Fred Kramer had two.
Niemeyer thumped two triples and ended the game with four RBI and Leiterding
with two. Joe Kruse zinged out three hits for Joey’s with John Hollerbach, Jerry
Kratz and Rich Larkin having two, one of Larkin’s was triple. John DeRosa had
two RBI in the season ending elimination game for Joey’s.

Warren Uhl stung the ball for four hits; Joe Barry, Jim Battye, and Paul Vorwick
three, while Jim Yount, Jeff Dougherty, and al Cenicola had two. Vorwick who
smashed a triple racked up five RBI, Uhl three; Battye, Cenicola and Don
O’Connell two. CJ’s Dave Banghart, Randy Wesolowski, Mike Arnold and John
Wood had two hits with Ed Kopecky and Nick Brooks cracking a triple. Brooks
ended up driving in three runs.

Stonewalls knocked Flamingo’s out of the tournament with their second loss.
Winning pitcher for Stonewalls Randy Morrison and Dick Corley nailed three hits,
Tom Purtell, Bill DiNeno, Joe Cervelli, John Luegering, Jim White, Dick Carson,
and Paul Burnett all with two hits. DiNeno launched a homerun while Cervelli and
Burnett whacked a triple. Cervelli had three RBI in the game; Purtell, Morrison,
and Burnett two. Tom Patterson led Flamingo’s with three hits; Paul Womack,
George Lancaster, and Butch Monson had two. Fred Kramer and Ray Niemeyer
drove in two runs apiece.

The Moose Lodge withstood a last inning rally attempt by the American Legion
for the win. Jim O’Meara and Ed Dreyfus lined four hits for the Moose, Huck
McPhee and Don Mandetta had three, with Mandetta cracking a solo homerun;
Roger Wise, Ron Burger and Alan Schneider two. O’Meara, Burger, and Dan
Cody had three RBI with Schneider having two. Dick DeAnna continued smoking
the ball having five hits for the American Legion, Bill Dauch nailed four hits, Al
Bozzo three; Fuzz Fazekas, Ray Malone, Angelo Polizzi, Bill Diamond, Jack
Stevenson, and Charles Pineno two. Fazekas, Dauch and Rick Condle mashed a
triple with Fazekas also launching a homerun. Dauch accounted for four runs
being driven in; Fazekas, Pollizzi, and Stevenson two.

Denny Lello was the catalyst for Kirk’s nailing the ball for three hits and Dan
O’Sullivan having two. Ernie Famiglietti chase in four runs and Lello two runs for
Kirk’s. Leroy Fishleigh peppered three hits for Moose, with Dan Cody, Huck
McPhee, Don Mandetta and Jim Adams having two. McPhee whacked a triple
and Mandetta hoisted a solo homerun, McPhee and Adams had two RBI apiece.

The Moose ended their league season on a positive note and now look ahead
too the tournament. Huck McPhee and Don Mandetta ended league play with a
bang both have four hits with Mandetta having a homerun and McPhee a triple.
Dan Cody, Tony Brock, Jim O'Meara, Bill Moors and Ron Burger all had two hits
in the win. McPhee and Moors drove in three runs, Brock and Mandetta two.
Jack Stevenson and Rick Condle lined three hits; one of Stevenson’s a triple, for
the American Legion while Al Bozzo and Alan Schneider had two. Schneider had
two RBI.

Nacho Mama’s took advantage of eleven walks and five errors to earn an easy
win over the Bank. Steve Hummel rattled off four hits with one being a triple while
Ralph Sieja and Ed Hamill had three hits for Nacho’s. Sieja and Tom Polston had
three runs batted in; Tom Gazzillo who belted a homerun, Pete Oellrich, George
Schnorr, and Hummel had two. Craig Cunningham and Lou Wolfenson drilled
four hits for the Bank, with one of Cunningham’s a triple; Ed Kingsbury and Bill
Shurina had three hits. Kingsbury chased in three runs; Wolfenson, Shurina,
Tom Pugh and Grady Fuller two.

It was like a heavyweight fight with both teams delivering power punches
throughout the game. Mike Schwab pummeled the ball for five hits, three of the
doubles for the Brewery; George Grygrocewicz and Tom Tankersley had three.
Grygrocewicz racked up five RBI, Schwab four and Larry Wildes four, and Perry
Baptiste two. Chuck Reich had three hits to lead DaVinci’s. Team members Gary
Revall unloaded a grand slam homerun while Chris Flynn and Nick Jacullo each
cracked a triple. Besides Revall’s four RBI, Bruce Chambers had three; Reich,
Jack O’Brien and Jeff Hultgren two.

The Bank closed the doors on Speakeasy’s season by holding off a ninth inning
rally for the win. John Gross had three hits for the Bank with Bill Thompson
hammering a homerun. Thompson chased in four runs, Ed Kingsbury the winning
pitcher and Murph Knapke had chased in two. The hitting machine Rich
Krumholz stung the ball for four hits for Speakeasy with John Haskins having
three hits. Haskins tagged a homerun while Jerry Engel, Tom McCullough and
Jack Martin crunched a triple. Haskins accounted for five runs being driven in
and McCullough two.

DaVinci’s Gary Revall lashed out five hits, Chuck Reich and Tom Whitlock added
three each to bury Sand Bar’s season handing them their second loss in the
tournament. Revall accumulated a total of five RBI, Nick Jacullo who hammered
a homerun had four and John Cavanagh two. Rod Lashley and Wayne Bombaci
each had three hits for Sand Bar with Tom Angelo driving in three runs and Tom
Bishard two.
