Temporary loss of strength and energy means that a performer is unable to carry on. Concentration levels and skills levels drop leading to mistakes being made or injuries occurring. Sporting Example – Overexertion or prolonged physical activity in gymnastics can lead to a decrease in the level of performance through a lack of concentration. The gymnast could fall off the bars if the arm muscles are over-worked and the routine is repeated too many times without a rest. This could cause an injury.
