Firestop documentation manager CFS-DM Frequently Asked Questions Order process and downloading app How can I order the Hilti CFS-Firestop Document Manager? Contact Hilti Customer Service, order from your local Hilti representative or order through Hilti Online. Once your order is processed, you will receive a welcome e-mail with detailed instructions for completing the registration including links to download the app. Please remember to check your junk email if the welcome email does not show up after 15 minutes. How is the license billed? A monthly invoice will be issued each month. When will I receive my monthly billing? The billing will be based on your current terms with Hilti, and it will coincide with your order fulfillment date. Can I upgrade the license online? No, it is not possible to upgrade the license online. For upgrading, please contact Hilti Customer Service or your local Hilti representative. Can I upgrade or downgrade my license at any point during my contract/license term? Yes, however, the monthly payment will change accordingly. The account will recalculate based on days used of the current license. Who can upgrade the current license of my company? Your CFS-Firestop Documentation Manager can be upgraded by the individual that originally purchased the software. Typically this is the back office user. Can I buy extensions with my the basic license? No. If you have the basic license you will need to upgrade to premium license before purchasing extensions. Can I upgrade to a basic license from the demo version? No, the demo version cannot be upgraded to a basic or premium license. Please contact Hilti customer service to order your license for either the basic or premium package. The demo data can be transferred to the new purchased license. Can I stop my subscription before my one year contract is up? No, the minimum contract duration is one (1) year. If I decide to end my license, will the data be available if I purchase a license again? No, once you end your license agreement the data is deleted from the server. Save all projects using the export function and import them back into the software if you choose to implement the software again at a later date. Users and company settings Where can I change my language preference? Go to “Settings” and select your language of choice. What tasks can be performed by various users types? No, the customer data is automatically downloaded from the Hilti customer database. Can I add individuals from other companies as back office users to my account? Yes. Be aware that back office users have access to all of your projects. Does each user I add receive a welcome e-mail? Yes. Each user will receive a welcome e-mail with the user’s details. Can I limit access to certain projects to specific back office users? No. This is not available for back office users, but you can manage mobile users for each project. How many users can I assign to my company? You can add as many users to your company as you want. Can the mobile user access the software from the PC version? No, mobile users can only access the software from a mobile device (iPad, iPhone, Android phone or Android tablet). Visit the Google PlayStore or iTunes to download the app. Can I use the same license with both platforms (Android and iOS)? Yes, just ensure the device you are using meets the minimum software requirements. Can I export project data to another company? Yes, using the “Export/Import” function you can create a file with the project data that can be shared with another company. Can the same user be logged in at the same time to the desktop application and the mobile app? No. User can only be logged in to one application at a time. Projects, penetrations and reports Can I only document Hilti systems and products with my documentation manager? No, all products can be documented. What happens if I mark a project as inactive? The project will not sync to the mobile device. Is there a limit to how many projects I am allowed to create? No, there is no limit to how many project s you can create. You are only limited to the number of penetrations purchased. How many new penetration details can I add? You can add up to 10. Can I modify the details of the penetrations after the project is complete and the data has been saved? Yes. Can I add a new mobile user after the initial project set up is complete? Yes. Can I restore a project after I delete it? No, once you confirm the deletion it is not possible to recover it from the CFS-DM system. What happens when I change a project status to active? It makes the project visible for the mobile users assigned to the project. What happens if I scan the Hilti QR code? The penetration is identified and located. How can I see if a QR code is assigned? There is a check mark on the icon. If I am using my mobile device, how much data capacity do I need? Every penetration has around 1MB of data, which is stored on the device. If you work without an internet connection for one day and have documented 30 penetrations, the mobile device would need 30MB of available storage. Once your device is connected to the internet, the data will automatically upload, and the space on your mobile device freed up?. How often will the project data be synchronized? The automatic sync occurs during login, logoff and when you create a new penetration. You can manually sync by swiping down the project list. How can I identify penetrations that are not stored in the cloud? In the penetration list, they will show in parenthesis (local), e.g. penetration 45 (local). Can I include an engineering judgment (EJ) in the project? Yes. When creating the project, add the EJ pdf file under the technical document upload tab. Can I delete a UL system from my project? No. The preloaded UL systems are related to the preloaded products. However, preloaded products can be deleted and at that time the associated UL systems will also be deleted. Projects, penetrations and reports con’t Can I use different colored mark ups on my plans? No. However, any uploaded colored pdf drawings do appear in color on the devices. Can I upload DWG/AutoCAD 2D drawings to my system? No, the system only supports PDF drawings. How can I change the position of a penetration on my drawing? Search for the penetration with your mobile device and reposition. Can I add comments on a plan? No. What are the different types of reports I can create? You can create a PDF, Excel or a 2D Plan PDF report. What is the PDF report? The PDF report provides an overview of the project. Every penetration is listed with all the details (pictures included) on one page. Do I need to add all the UL systems I am planning to use on my project? No, all Hilti UL systems already loaded into CFS-Firestop Documentation Manager along with product data. You can upload other documents you would like to include in your report. Can I modify filters? Yes. Is my data secure? Your data is stored in the cloud. We rely on state-of-the-art cloud architecture to achieve data security.
