TRAINING FUTURE GENERATIONS TO LIVE A LIFE CONSISTENT WITH A BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW
Raking up AR points!
Read N Quiz is under way and
Students are raking up the Read N Quiz points. In addition to
Reading 70-75 minutes per week, students have a goal of
4 AR points for the grading period. Most points in their reading
level range from .5 to 1.5 available points. Just as a reminder, if a
student read the book last year, they cannot re-read the book and
take the quiz again. Reading logs are due no later than Mondays.
This week’s memory verse is found in Lamentations 3:23 “They
are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” It is
important for students to practice and memorize their memory
verses including where it is found in the Bible. This gives them a
firm foundation of God’s truth that has been “written on their
hearts”. It is also beneficial to talk about what the verse means to
them.
In our Bible study time, we have begun to look at the John the
Baptist and preparing the way for Jesus along with sincerity. This
week we will continue our discussion on sincerity and
repentance.
In science, we will begin to discuss the design process that
inventors use and how technology helps us every day which will
carry over into STEM this week.
For math this week, we will begin unit 2 on place value and using
clues to guess a number. We will also practice writing number
words and connect them to real life situations.
Spelling words will be available for practice on
www.spellingcity.com. Homework is assigned weekly and is due
on Fridays.
In Him,
Lisa Hughes
