University of California, San Diego (UCSD) – Lab TA/Instructor


Will instruct respective students about experimental techniques used in molecular biology and biochemistry, such as gel
electrophoresis, chromatography purification, western blot, southern blot, and ELISA, for 3 months in a lab and be
responsible for 20+ undergraduate students.

Will be in charge of the lab course with professor’s support and supervision.

Will personally oversee each student’s lab work and critique comprehensive lab reports for each lab assignments.
Vision Center Laboratory, Center for the Neurobiology of Vision, Salk Institute – Graduate student Sept 2012 - Present

Continuously working with Dr. Thomas Albright and Dr. Sergei Gepshtein with focus in vision science using psychophysical
methods to understand the center-surround interactions in the visual system.

Started writing a manuscript with Dr. Albright, Dr. Gepshtein, and Dr. Saveliev for publication on the concept behind
inhibition-stabilized networks using psychophysical methods.

Attended and presented his poster with the latest research findings at the Vision Science Society Conference in May, 2014.

Taught private violin lessons for over 60 students from beginner’s level to advanced level for all ages (5-40 yrs old)

Performed for private functions, such as weddings, church events, house parties, holiday parties, etc.



Founded and directed the string quartet as the lead violinist in numerous events sponsored by museums, public institutions,
hospitals, auctions, specific interest groups, professional orchestras, parties, etc.

Continued to provide music to local residents and other institutions.

Selected as one of the baritones for John Rutter’s choral concert to sing “Magnificat” at the Carnegie Hall, NYC with the composer
John Rutter as the conductor for the very first time.


Spent four days rehearsing with the composer as the vocal teacher with other singers.
