Distributed Voice Communication System Distributed Voice Communication System DVCS Main Features The Voice Intercom Keyset DVCS is a Voice Communication System based on VoIP. This system is designed to be operated by a lot of users in parallel and is fully configurable including definition of different roles and rights (e.g. listen, talk). • • • The driver for the development of this voice intercom system was the longtime experience gained during maintenance activities of different voice system products used in operational environments in the past. As a result the Voice Intercom Keyset DVCS was generated which complies with typical requirements for Satellite Ground Control Centers (e.g. Eumetsat, Galileo) • • • • • • • • Recognizing that no standard product meets all the needs of all users, it is offered to provide units tailored to unique applications. The keysets are available as desktop, console or arm mounted versions. Individual button layout and design can be established on request. Keysets consist of the following components: • • • • • Touch screen with a layout showing the loops which can be selected Software volume control slider for loudspeaker and headset for the console and arm versions Connector for a microphone Function buttons for special functions Status display • Redundant network architecture via Ethernet Very High Availability – no single point of failure Highest voice quality using new developed Audio Interface Unit Transparent interface to existing Voice Systems, IP network and ISDN Fully distributed truly VoIP architecture Complete installation and support included Full maintenance service Maintainable without operational disruption Standard radio interfaces supported Telephony interfaces available Gateways to other systems via LAN / WAN True “turn-key” system – no hidden cost Panel Information Indicators Audio Interfaces Frequency range (analog) Usable bandwidth of 300 to 3400 Hz (±3dB) Signal-to-noise ratio (analog) > 42 dB(A) Distortion factor (analog) < 0,5% Cross talk attenuation (analog) >60 dB / 1 kHz Headsets headset ports + PTT Microphone microphone port + PTT 4 wire audio audio I/O for recording Interfaces I/O ports DVI Headset Ports USB Touchscreen PTT out external Loudspeaker Network Yellow: Loop selector is set for listen only Green: Loop selector is set for talk (listen and talk).
