Dear Willowville Parents and Students,
Welcome Back from the holidays! I hope everyone enjoyed time with family and friends
and is well rested as we return for the second half of the school year. Over the break,
our custodial crew did a nice job of sterilizing the classrooms. To help with keeping the
germs away, we always appreciate donations of tissues, hand sanitizer and Clorox/Lysol
wipes. Additionally, whenever we have the opportunity to go outside for recess, we
would like our students to burn off their energy and get some fresh air! Please be sure
your child is dressed for the weather.
Our Library Stars program has been up and running since October. This program will
continue thru April. It’s easy to participate; register at the front desk in the Union
Township Library, check in each time you visit the library, and every month we will tally
the visits for your child to receive a prize. Additionally, each time you visit the library,
your name is written on a ticket and placed in a grade level container for a chance to
win the grand prize at the end of the school year which will be a $25 gift card to
Scholastic Books per grade level.
We are excited that again this year our Student Council will be hosting Family Sports
Night! This is an opportunity for a child and one of their parents to participate together in 8 different activities. Awards will be given for each activity and at each grade
level. On Tuesday, January 24th grades K, 2, and 4 will participate and on Thursday,
January 26th grades 1, 3, and 5 will participate. I hope to see many families for this fun
and entertaining night!

Our annual carnival is coming Friday April 7.
This is a popular event with our students and takes between
50-70 volunteers to make it happen.
Look for a flyer from PTO coming home to volunteer, donate,
organize or help where needed.
Return this by January 10th.
Please attend the Jan. 11th PTO Meeting
if you can be part of the Carnival Planning committee.
Without your support, this event is in jeopardy.
