Hermann Maier is a popular training centre for the Austrian ÖSV (ski racers club) as well as
international ski racers. The annual highlight of the winter season is the Audi FIS Ski World Cup
Women‟s Night Slalom. Around the date of 10 January 2017, the international skiing clan will

At snow space Flachau, children born 2001–2010 and teenagers born 1998–2000, can claim a
discount of up to 35 per cent on normal fares at weekends. Ski passes are available for €16 and

Winter Start Up 17, 8–11 December 2016
The opening event includes skiing pleasure at snow space Flachau, great ski test centre, funsports for try-outs, ski hut and après-ski parties with cool live acts, party and night life flair.
Ö3 PistenBully, on 8 December 2016
As part of the opening event, on 8 December, the Ö3-PistenBully will stop by at snow space
Flachau. The converted snow groomer with DJ plates will make for a small sensation and the Ö3
DJ for a great atmosphere – from its musical welcome service at the start of your skiing day, to
your afternoon après-ski. With lounge furniture, deckchairs, fur blankets, Swedish bonfire and a
bar, this stop-by will become a meeting point for alpine enthusiasts.
A magical Christmas in the “Im Land der Stillen Nacht” TV programme
Amidst the mountain landscape of Salzburg, Flachau will be the scenery for this Christmas TV
programme, which starts in mid-December 2016 to be broadcast on Austrian and Bavarian primetime television. During the event, you will experience an atmospheric evening with Christmas tunes
by national and international artist from different music genres, among them classic music and
genres typical for German-speaking countries.
Highlight – Audi FIS Ski World Cup Women’s Night Slalom, on 10 January 2017
Since 2010, the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Women‟s Night Slalom at snow space Flachau has been
a metaphorical fixed star in the skiing sky. An impressive backdrop of spectators, great
atmosphere and an accompanying entertainment programme will be part of this highlight of the
skiing winter season, on 10 January 2017, and make it an unforgettable experience for both
spectators and skiing stars. The winner is traditionally crowned “snow space princess”, who, apart
from this title, receives one of the most generous prizes that can be won in the Women‟s Ski World
Cup. On the previous evening, a Star Challenge will take place, with the title, in German, “Sports &
high society meet skiing talents”, a charity event for young skiing talents from Salzburg. Tickets

Atomic X-Perience Race Day, on 19 February 2017
At the Atomic X-Perience Race Day, you can try out the newest ski models by Atomic free of
charge (photo ID required) at the spacejet 1 valley station.
For everyone interested there will also be the opportunity to try and beat the best time of a skiing
star in a thrilling race. Even if you do not make best time, you will certainly have a lot of fun and
action.
Flachau is part of Ski amadé
snow space Flachau takes part in Ski amadé, Austria‟s biggest network for skiing pleasure. With
just one pass, skiers have access to 270 skilifts and cableways, and 760 kilometres of piste.
