Grand Stand for Schools $1,000,000 Giveaway (“Promotion”) begins at 12:01:00 PM Eastern Time (ET)
on 8/1/16 & ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on 10/31/16 (“Promotion Period”). The Promotion consists of a
sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) and an instant win game (“Instant Win Game”), each as described below.
1. Eligibility: Open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia 18 years of
age or older at time of entry. Void in Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands and APO/FPOs outside the US. Participants
enter the Sweepstakes on behalf of an eligible school or organization and enter the Instant Win Game as
individuals. In order to receive a Sweepstakes Grand Prize, eligible school or organization named on the
entry must be located within the 50 United States or District of Columbia. Eligible schools/organizations
are public and private schools, and home school associations (K–12) that comply with laws and regulations
for the state in which they operate, licensed child care centers, public libraries, religious educational
centers and Head Start centers having any of the grades K through 12 and preschools located in the 50
United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands and any school located on any
U.S. military installation (regardless of location). Sponsor, Administrator and their respective subsidiaries,
affiliates, agents, parent companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and other individuals/entities
engaged in the development, production or distribution of Promotion materials, as well as the officers,
directors and employees of each (collectively, the “Promotion Entities”), and each of the Promotion
Entities’ immediate family members (spouse, parents, children, siblings, and their respective spouses), and
household members (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate in this Promotion.
2. How to Enter the Sweepstakes: During the Promotion Period, an eligible entrant must visit
www.grandstandforschools.com (the "Website") and register by entering the contact information
requested on the entry form. The entrant must then either (i) select a ZIP Code and an eligible
school/organization provided in the drop down menu based on such ZIP Code or (ii) if an entrant’s
school/organization is not listed, he/she should click “Can’t Find Your School?” and enter the name of an
eligible school/organization. Once you have provided your school/organization, confirm you have read and
agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at
http://www.campbellsoupcompany.com/privacy-policy and click “Submit” to receive one (1) entry into the
Sweepstakes for the Sweepstakes Grand Prize. Returning entrants will only be required to select his/her
valid email address and select a school/organization.
When an entrant successfully registers or, after registration, when the entrant visits the Website, enters
his/her email address and selects a school/organization during the Promotion Period, an entrant will
automatically receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes for the school/organization that he/she selected.
Limit one (1) entry per day using this method of entry. A day begins at 12:00 AM ET and ends at 11:59 PM
ET each day during the Promotion Period, except on 8/1/16 when a day will begin at 12:01:00 PM ET. All
entries must be submitted within the Promotion Period. Administrator’s computer will be the official timekeeping device for this Sweepstakes. An entrant can receive bonus entries for his/her school/organization
each day during the Promotion Period as follows:
A.
Bonus Entry Purchase and Receipt Upload: During the Promotion Period, an eligible
entrant may earn five (5) bonus entries into the Sweepstakes for his/her school/organization by purchasing
any eligible Participating Product, while supplies last, and following the instructions to upload the receipt
at the Website. Check www.grandstandforschools.com/en-us/Products for a list of Participating Products.
Purchase of qualifying products must be made in a single transaction and purchase and upload must both
be completed during the Promotion Period. An entrant can upload only one (1) receipt per day during the
Promotion Period and receive five (5) bonus entries for uploading each receipt that is approved. Each
receipt can only be uploaded once during the Promotion Period. Receipt must include retailer name, date,
time, receipt total, and qualifying purchases to be valid. Fraudulent or noncomplying submissions will not
receive bonus entries. Sponsor not responsible for illegible, late, or noncomplying submissions. Accepted
file formats are: .JPG, .JPEG, .PNG, .PDF and .GIF. Maximum file size is 5 MB.
B.
Alternative Free Method of Bonus Entry by Mail-In: During the Promotion Period, an
eligible entrant will receive five (5) bonus entries into the Sweepstakes for his/her school/organization by
hand-writing his/her complete name (no initials), valid email address, street address (no P.O. Boxes ), city,
state, ZIP code, telephone number, date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY), and name of an eligible school ) on a
3½”x5” card and mailing it with sufficient postage to: Grand Stand for Schools $1,000,000 Giveaway, PO
box: P.O. Box 251328, West Bloomfield, MI 48325 (“Mail-In Bonus Entry”). All Mail-In Bonus Entries must
be postmarked no later than 10/31/16, and received on or before 11/7/16, in order to be eligible. Mail-In
Bonus Entries must be legibly hand-written. Mechanical reproductions, postage-due, Mail-In Bonus
Entries mailed in an envelope or sent in excess of the entry limits set forth below will not be accepted. MailIn Bonus Entries received without a verifiable and legible return address will be deemed incomplete and
not valid entries.
Regardless of the methods of entry set forth in Section 2A and 2B only, an entrant may only receive a
maximum of five (5) Bonus Entries per day during the Promotion Period.
Entries into the Promotion that do not comply with these Official Rules are subject to disqualification, at
the Sponsor’s sole discretion. All materials submitted become the property of the Sponsor and will not be
returned. Entries that are mechanically reproduced or copied, illegible, incomplete, late or inaccurate are
void. Robotic, programmed, script, macro, or other automated entries are prohibited, and any use of
automated devices will cause disqualification. Online entries made with multiple email addresses or
otherwise under multiple identities will be deemed invalid. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion,
to disqualify any individual and/or school/organization (and related entries) who violates these Official
Rules or interferes with this Promotion in any manner, as well as terminate further participation in the
Promotion. Decisions of the Sponsor will be final and binding on all matters relating to this Promotion.
Should multiple users of the same email account enter the Promotion and a dispute thereafter arises
regarding the identity of the entrant and which school/organization should be attributed such entry, the
authorized account holder of said email account at the time of entry will be considered the entrant and the
school/organization selected by such entrant shall be attributed to the entry. “Authorized account holder”
is defined as the person who is assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, on-line service
provider or other organization which is responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated
with the submitted email address.
3. How to Play the Instant Win Game. After completing registration at the Website, the entrant may
follow the on-screen instructions to play the Instant Win Game (“Instant Win Game Play”). After
completing an Instant Win Game Play, the entrant will receive notification on the Website screen whether
he/she is a potential “Instant Win Game Prize” (defined in Rule 6) winner. All potential Instant Win Game
Prize winners will receive an email confirmation within approximately 24 to 48 hours from the time his/her
entry is received at the email address submitted when registering for the Promotion. Each entrant who
receives a winning email notification will be deemed a potential Instant Win Game Prize winner pending
verification of the entrant’s eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules, as determined by Sponsor
in its sole discretion whose decisions are final and binding.
An entrant is not a winner of any prize, even if the Instant Win Game should so indicate, unless and until
entrant’s eligibility and the potential winning Instant Win Game Play have been verified and entrant has
been notified that verification is complete. Sponsor will not accept screen shots or other evidence of
winning in lieu of its validation process. Any Instant Win Game Play that occurs after the system has failed
for any reason is deemed defective, is void, and will not be honored.
Entry Limit: There is a limit of one (1) Instant Win Game Play per person per day during the Promotion
Period. If more than one (1) Instant Win Game Play is received from the same address, phone number
and/or email address in a single day, only the first Instant Win Game Play received may be considered valid.
All Instant Win Game Plays must be completed within the Promotion Period.
4. Prizes/Odds/ARV: At the end of the Promotion Period, one hundred (100) grants of Ten Thousand
Dollars each ($10,000) (the “Sweepstakes Grand Prize”) will be awarded to each eligible
school/organization associated with a winning entry selected in a random drawing conducted by the
Administrator, from among all eligible entries on or about 11/10/16. Prizes to be awarded in the form of a
check to winning school/organization approximately 6-8 weeks after the random drawing. Individual
entrants entering this Promotion participate on behalf of a school/organization and do not win a
Sweepstakes Grand Prize. Odds of winning a Sweepstakes Grand Prize depend on the number of eligible
Sweepstakes entries received during the Promotion Period. Approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each
Sweepstakes Grand Prize is Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000).
There will be sixty-five (65) “Instant Win Game Prizes” available for individual entrants to win. Each Instant
Win Game Prize will consist of a $175 pre-paid Visa® debit card. The odds of winning an Instant Win Game
Prize depends upon time of day the entrant completes an Instant Win Game Play. Instant Win Game Prizes
will be made available at pre-selected random times throughout the Promotion Period. All Instant Win
Game Prizes will be awarded provided there are a sufficient number of eligible winners. Instant Win Game
Prizes that are unclaimed, unredeemed or returned as undeliverable will not be awarded. No more than
Sixty-five (65) Instant Win Game Prizes will be awarded. Instant Win Game Prizes will be mailed
approximate 3-4 weeks after the end of the Promotion Period and are subject to eligibility verification.
ARV of each Instant Win Game Prize is One Hundred Seventy-five Dollars ($175).
Each debit card as set forth above is subject to the terms and conditions on debit card and online, if any.
The use of a debit card as constitutes the user’s acceptance of all of its terms and conditions. Winners
should read the terms and conditions on the debit card and one the debit card’s website, if applicable,
carefully. Each debit card will not be redeemed or exchanged for cash, except where required by law. Each
debit card will not be replaced or replenished if it lost, stolen, damaged, destroyed or used without a
winner’s permission. A debit card is “non-reloadable”, so additional money cannot be added to the balance
of the debit card. A debit card does not offer a line of credit like a credit card.
Limit of one (1) Instant Win Game Prize per entrant and one (1) Sweepstakes Grand Prize per
school/organization. Prizes are non-transferable; no substitutions other than at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prize. All applicable taxes on any prize, if any, and any other
costs not specifically stated herein are responsibility of the winning entrant, for Instant Win Game Prizes,
or school/organization, for Sweepstakes Grand Prizes. For tax exempt school/organizations, please see
Rule 7 below for submission of appropriate exemption documentation. Total ARV of all Prizes is One
Million Eleven Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-five Dollars ($1,011,375).
5. Sweepstakes Grand Prize Notification and Verification: Potential Sweepstakes Grand Prize winning
schools/organizations will be notified by mail, phone and/or email or, as applicable, contact information
associated with its Label for Education registration or the registration information provided when an
entrant entered the school/organization into the Sweepstakes. A courtesy email will be sent to the entrant
letting him/her know that the school/organization that they registered is a potential Sweepstakes Grand
Prize winner. Sponsor or Administrator will attempt to contact the school/organization directly to
determine if the school/organization is eligible to win the Sweepstakes Grand Prize as set forth in Rule 2.
If the Sponsor or Administrator, in its sole and absolute discretion, is unable to contact a potential
Sweepstakes Grand Prize winning school/organization then Sponsor may disqualify this potential winning
school/organization. For all potential Grand Prize winning schools/organizations, confirmation of winning
is subject to verification and compliance with these Official Rules. A duly authorized official representing
the potential prize winning school/organization will be required to execute and return to Administrator an
affidavit of eligibility and liability release and where legal, publicity release on behalf of the winning
school/organization. If required by Sponsor, each entrant into the Instant Win Game agrees to execute and
return to Administrator similar documentation. School/organization will be required to provide
documentation acceptable to Sponsor stating that it is tax exempt pursuant to IRC Sec 501(c)(3) or other
documentation required by Sponsor. All Sweepstakes Grand Prize documentation must be returned by the
school/organization within five (5) business days from notification that the school/organization is a
Sweepstakes Grand Prize winner. Failure to return any or all documents as specified, a Sweepstakes Grand
Prize or Sweepstakes Grand Prize notification being returned as undeliverable, or potential winner not
complying with any term of these Official Rules may result in disqualification, the Sweepstakes Grand Prize
being forfeited and Sponsor having no further obligation. An alternate winning school/organization will be
randomly selected until all prizes are awarded provided there a sufficient number of eligible entries
6. Conditions of Participation: By entering the Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these Official
Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final. By accepting an Instant Win Game Prize, the
Instant Win Game Prize winner consents to the use of his/her name, image, likeness, photograph, and
description for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes by Sponsor, or a party designated by the
Sponsor, in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, without
additional compensation, notification or permission, except where prohibited by law. By accepting a
Sweepstakes Grand Prize, the authorized official consents to the use of the winning school/organization’s
name, image, likeness, photograph, and description for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes
by Sponsor, or a party designated by the Sponsor, in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout
the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification or permission, except where
prohibited by law. Promotion is subject to all US federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of entering, each entrant (or his/her parent or legal guardian if an eligible minor) and its
designated school/organization agrees (and agrees to confirm in writing) to release and hold harmless the
Promotion Entities from any and all claims, actions, liability, injury, loss or damage of any kind, including
but not limited to, personal injury or death, arising from or incurred with respect to this Promotion,
including the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize awarded or participation in Promotion and/or prizerelated activity.
BY PARTICIPATING IN THE PROMOTION, EACH ENTRANT (OR HIS/HER PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN
IF AN ELIGIBLE MINOR) AND ITS DESIGNATED SCHOOL/ORGANIZATION AGREES THAT (TO THE
EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW): (A) ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS AND CAUSES OF
ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THE PROMOTION OR ANY PRIZE AWARDED, SHALL
BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION; (B) ANY AND ALL
CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS AND AWARDS WILL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL THIRD-PARTY, OUT-OF-POCKET
COSTS INCURRED (IF ANY), BUT IN NO EVENT WILL ATTORNEYS' FEES BE AWARDED OR
RECOVERABLE; AND (C) NO ENTRANT WILL BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN ANY AWARD FOR, AND
ENTRANT HEREBY KNOWINGLY AND EXPRESSLY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO SEEK, INJUNCTIVE,
PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS AND/OR ANY
OTHER DAMAGES, OTHER THAN ACTUAL OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES, AND/OR ANY RIGHTS TO
HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCREASED. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW
THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO ALL.
7. IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ENTRANTS USING A MOBILE DEVICE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE
PROMOTION: Message and data rates may apply. Not all mobile telephone providers carry the service
necessary to obtain a link to the Website to participate in the Promotion. Entrants should consult their
wireless provider’s pricing plans. By playing the Instant Win Game, the entrant grants permission to the
Promotion Entities to notify him/her via a return email message and must agree to accept all applicable
charges associated therewith.
8. Privacy: Sponsor will be collecting personal data about entrants online, in accordance with its privacy
policy. Please review the Sponsor’s privacy policy at http://www.campbellsoupcompany.com/privacypolicy. By participating in the Promotion, an entrant hereby agrees to Sponsor’s collection and usage of
his/her personal information and acknowledges that entrant has read and accepted Sponsor’s privacy
policy.
9. Additional Terms:
The Promotion Entities are not responsible for technical, hardware, software, telephone or other
communications malfunctions, errors or failures of any kind (human or technical), lost or unavailable
network connections, website, Internet, or ISP availability, unauthorized human intervention, traffic
congestion, incomplete or inaccurate capture of entry information (regardless of cause) or failed,
incomplete, garbled, jumbled or delayed computer transmissions which may limit one’s ability to enter the
Promotion, including any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or
resulting from participating in this Promotion or downloading any materials in this Promotion. Sponsor
reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, extend or suspend this Promotion
should (in its sole discretion) virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond
its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Promotion. In
such case, Sponsor may select the winners from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if
appropriate) the action taken by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify
any individual it finds, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the
Promotion or the Website. Sponsor may prohibit a entrant from participating in the Promotion or winning
a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate
operation of the Promotion by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including
the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other
entrants or Promotion Entities.
In no event will more Sweepstake Grand Prizes and/or Instant Win Game Prizes be awarded than are stated
in these Official Rules. In the event that due to technical, typographical, mechanical or other errors, there
are more potential winners than are stated in these Official Rules, a random drawing among the claimants
will be held to determine the winners.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR
UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL
AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT
TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
10. Disputes; Governing Law: The parties waive all rights to trial in any action or proceeding instituted in
connection with these Official Rules, including, without limitation, the Promotion. Any controversy or
claim arising out of or relating to these Official Rules and/or the Promotion shall be settled by binding
arbitration in accordance with the commercial arbitration rules of the American Arbitration Association.
Any such controversy or claim shall be arbitrated on an individual basis, and shall not be consolidated in
any arbitration with any claim or controversy of any other party. The arbitration shall be conducted in the
State of New Jersey, City of Camden.
THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THE INTERPRETATION OF ITS TERMS SHALL BE GOVERNED BY AND
CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY WITHOUT REGARD
TO ITS CONFLICTS OF LAWS RULES. For any matters which are not subject to arbitration as set forth in
these Official Rules and/or in connection with the entering of any judgment on an arbitration award in
connection with these Official Rules and/or the Promotion, the parties irrevocably submit and consent to
the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in or closest to the City of
Camden in the State of New Jersey. The parties agree not to raise the defense of forum non conveniens.
11. Winners List: A list of the winning entrants and schools/organizations will be published on the
Promotion Website after 11/22/16.
