I. Introduction
The introduction should introduce the person you read about to your reader and the audience.
You should include:
 the birthplace (date and hometown) Death date (if applicable)


Brothers and sisters, education, etc.

II. Challenges /Important Contributions /Accomplishments
This section should include the challenges this person had to face and obstacles they had to
overcome.
Challenges are things that you are born with, have grown up with... things you can’t really change.
Obstacles are things you can deal with and change... these are things that you come up against as you pursue
a dream or vision. How did he or she get through them? Who helped them get through it? Who was his/her
support system? etc.

III. Character Analysis
Most people who have succeeded in life or have accomplished any sort of success have built
their character and have grown in some way. As you read, answer the following questions:
 In what ways was the life remarkable?
 In what ways was the life admirable (worthy, commendable)? What do YOU admire about the person?
 What human qualities or characteristics were most influential in shaping the way this person lived and
influenced his or her times?
 Which quality or trait was most beneficial?

After having read about an admirable individual, think about what you have learned.
 What are the two or three most important lessons you or any other young person might learn from the way
this person lived?
 Some people say you can judge the quality of a person's life by the enemies they make.
