Find more information about these programs on our website under “About ECES” and then choose “Fund Raising Programs”. 2. AREA OF CONCERN: Please be careful not to mark any of our school emails as spam. Doing so not only puts your email address on a “black list” that you cannot be removed from for a year, but it may put the school’s future email communication with our members through Faith Websites at risk. If you no longer wish to receive school emails, you are free to unsubscribe but doing so will remove all mass email communication from the school through Faith Websites at that address. Please call the school if you have questions or no longer wish to receive our emails at a specific email address. Thank you. 3. Notes from the Music Room *The new music room is alive with the joyful sounds of students singing, dancing, and discovering God's amazing world of music. Songs highlight our school theme that God will help us to follow him. *The bands are off to a dynamic start. The fifth grade band has already conquered five different notes and a few songs! 5th grade band rehearses each Tuesday, with brass on Thursdays, and percussion & woodwinds on Fridays. The 6th - 8th grade bands have begun preparing for the November 7 Fall Music Festival at Worthington Christian. Our band clinician will be Paul Schilf from Augustana University. 6th grade band rehearses each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. 7th/8th band rehearses each Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Small group lessons meet throughout the week. Please help your child remember to take his/her instrument to school on band days and to find a time to practice at home each week. September’s signed Home Practice Sheet is due now. A band bill will be sent home each month for supplies as needed (reeds, oil, etc.). A Music Street representative visits our school each Tuesday to bring supplies and repair broken instruments. 4. ECES Spirit Wear orders are due by Oct 5th. Stop by the school office to see samples.
