Typing Assessment
Your task is to increase your typing speed. You have been asked to type using a website to accomplish
your task. The challenge is that each time you are on this website, your goal is to finish as many typing
races as possible. Your work will be judged by the number of races you complete and how many words per
minute you type. Also, how much it has increased over the course of the class.
Scenario - You are saving money for your college and come across a “Help Wanted” ad in the paper. The
ad wants to recruit middle school students to type a Bensalem Township newsletter focusing on the
iinterests of adolescents. When you apply for the job, they test your typing speed and tell you that they will
pay you ten dollars an hour if you can increase your score by 15 words a minute after 40 days. You see,
they are seeing how determined you are to meet a goal. Only the most diligent and hardworking students
will be hired. Good luck! (Ultimately a grade is given for money.)

Now that you have an understanding of the important seventh grade technology terms, you will develop a
vocabulary review game that others will play. Your goal is to combine terms with definitions & terms with

people. Their accuracy will help your grade, so make sure they play multiple review games before taking the
