Sometimes I wonder if they
just don’t see.
Help us “see” the homeless and bring them in from the cold...
Every winter there are thousands who are homeless trying to find a warm place to spend the night...even in Wausau.
Every winter we have noticed them under the bridge and huddled in parking ramps trying to stay warm and dry.
With the opening of the Wausau Community Warming Center, they now have a safe place to get a meal, shower,
do laundry and rest for the night. Since opening at our new location on Third Avenue and with the help of many
community organizations and volunteers, we have provided 2,464 nights stays and almost 5,000 meals. Some of our
guests from last winter continue to meet with our St. Lawrence Community Service advocates in an effort to find a
