The convention was marked by a
degree of enthusiasm which plainly
sotinded the death kocll of oil eppoeition
in the approaching strunglc, and a grand
and glorious triumph in favor of further
good county govornmcnt.

Oreen, as Chairman of tho County Kxeoutivc Committee, called tho convention
to order.
On motion of W. A. Dunn, Colonel
F. M. Parker was called to the chair and
E. E. Hilliard sod D. K. Stuioback were
elecled secretaries.
Col. Parker on taking the chair said
be eould only say in tho language of a
very distinguished eititco of the United
States, he waa a Democrat.
Mr. W. K. Daniel was endorsed for
solicitor of this district and the delegates
were instructed to vote fur him at the
Judicial Oonvention. Mr. Osniel, in a
graceful speech returned his heartrelt
thanks to the eunvention.
